What in the heavens was that?!

So here I am, killing time in the evening fishing from the pier at Willy's shop. It's 11:00 in the night, Willy's gone home, all's quiet.

Suddenly SOMETHING plops into the sea from the pier and swims off at speed.

Something with glowy eyes, blue skin, green hair and dwarf-like horns/ears on top of its head.

Have I gone mad, or is this something normal I've just never seen before?

I've never seen them but that sounds like the Merpeople. Seeing them is super-rare and I never have. Of course you have to hang at the Beach at night to see them so, yeah, I'll be the last.

Wow, it did NOT look like The Little Mermaid, let me tell you... More like cross between an alligator and the dwarf!

I was sure I overdosed on Stardew Valley and was seeing things!

I'm also the unluckiest person in the world (just lost 1000 star tokens betting on green the other day at the Fair) so I don't know how it's possible that I lucked out on this.

I've seen that before, around the same time. It is one of the Merpeople, though they don't look much like what you'd imagine.

I don't think there's only come out at night, I've definitely seen one at day time.

Wow, you're so lucky! I've never actually seen one myself but I believe it's one of the Merpeople. They're the same ones the Wizard talks about in his dialogue at the Luau.
