Solved Ginger Island Fossil Collection Bugged

So I have contributed all the fossils on Ginger Island and it still says I can continue to donate. As a result, it won't let me do the surveys, so I cannot finish the golden walnut collection. Do you have any ideas for how to fix it?

You should be able to do the surveys even before you donated everything.
