Greenhouse heating - a bit more realism

How greenhouse is heated in the game?
I propose to use a heater in winter like for animals. If there is no heater in greenhouse, plants stop to grow in winter until spring.

I think your thinking to much into it. However at the same time there are things I think are missing in game.
1. No electric grid
2. No water piping
3. No heating/cooling/venting for most buildings.

I kinda wish you had to lay underground water pipes like simcity 2000. I mean where does the water come from. Then for your heating where are the power outlets. It's weird you can but crystalariums anywhere and they work

Do you really want SDV to become a real life simulation?
I think a lot of the charm of SDV comes from the lightness and magic in the game. I would hate to see this get lost!
People nodded fallout 4 into simcity(more like simtown). I like wear this game is at but honestly adding most of the options wouldn't matter. It's not like you have to put a battery pack in the heater daily for it to work. I mean it would change from people buying 3 heaters to buying 4. (One for linus)

I am not fond of the idea of having a heating system in the greenhouse.
I prefer not to think about it. I don't particularly appreciate seeing heaters in my house and greenhouse. I do not find them appealing at all because they take a lot of space.
Maybe we could imagine that the heaters are located on the wall.

Few NPC did recognize the existence of the heaters in their dialogue ----not physically.
What do I mean by that?

- In the dialogue, my husband Sebastian told me that he would take care of the heater.
He reassures me not to worry about it. The truth is ... my house has no heater, but it's a bit weird that Sebastian told me about it...

- I saw a picture somewhere– I saw another farmer put the heater in Linus' tent because
Linus was always near the bathtub to get warm in winter. Remember, everything is programmed with codes.
Linus will always be near the bathtub. Therefore, Linus won't recognize the physical heat you gave to him.....

- Marnie suggested getting a heater for farm animals, Only the animals recognize the existence of the heat and give you quality products in winter.
Generally, all NPC don't feel it, but they can talk about it.

If you question it too much, it would be tooooooo.......complicated.

Therefore, I am suggesting not to take this topic too seriously.

Heating is optional indeed, but it helps for better quality. A way to give a heater to Linus and Leo would be nice, this is suggested somewhere already.

As far as the heating cooling venting it would be just updated first day of the month. So while more immersive yes it is just 2 hrs of game time every 28 days an that's if you don't just leave said items in buildings

Hey, imho you overcomplicate the topic. Imagine that piping, wiring etc is included in building price and established automatically.
No need to have such deep detailing.
Heater in greenhouse is an option like in barn: you have it - you have production in winter. Nothing more.
Especially since heater already IS in the game and does this function. Just extend it to greenhouse.

One tile for winter gains? Sounds good to me.
I mean, it's just one placement, and the Greenhouse is very useful in the winter, buying and placing one thing to be able to use it isn't hard, and when it's unlocked, the player most likely is pretty good at the game, so that should be a piece of cake, no?
If one doesn't use it, the Greenhouse crops are... frozen! ... I'm leaving with this bad pun, sorry. (Abby doing the badum tss)

But why bother. Your just asking to put a one time 2000 coin barrier for a player that deals with 100k and 10k transactions going forward that time. It would be the gaming equivalent of reminding a player to tie there shoes at the beginning of a call of duty match.

I was saying if you want realism then other things need to be added which would detract from the game. At that point it no longer does anything useful.
