Secret notes specifically 19(possible spoiler maybe?)

Okay so I play stardew on ps4 and ps5 and I started doing the secret notes. Specifically 19. I follow the maps to find the items and they are not there I can’t pick them up and find them. For 19 I’ve literally watched tutorials to try and get the items. Nothing. Anyone else have this issue or have a solution. I want that mayor Lewis statue.

Have you tried using a tool- say a hoe? An upgraded hoe has the advantage of knocking loose the statue even if you are not in the exact right spot. And it is tricky to find the correct spot. Thank @imnvs for the trick with the hoe if it works- i totally stole it from him.

What a great idea-- use the wide swath of an upgraded tool to find the hidden things. I've always had trouble finding them, to the point where I remember... generally... where a lot of things are but always miss the exact spot they're in. Problem solved.

Yeah I’ve been using the iridium pick ace

Well a pickaxe would need to be properly aimed. If you hold down an iridium hoe it will cover a large area. As long as you are wearing a magnet ring it should work.

Hey, it's the shotgun approach. I didn't invent it. I just applied it to SDV.

Just FYI, on the switch I had one of those 'dig where this map shows' where it only gave me the item in question if i dig THAT spot. I had already tried using the the hoe to dig multiple places at once and could not find it that way even if it did cover the correct spot.

Just double checking, your character has actually found the note in question right? Not sure if the item is able to be found if you don’t have the note yet. I’ll test that tonight and will post a snip of my character finding it either way

Ok yeah I did verify:

You Do need to have the secret note
You Do Not need tools
You Do Not need to follow the path

With a save where I have the secret note, but have not yet obtained the statue, I can just walk to the back of the truck, walk left, then down, and snag it by right clicking without issue. With a save where I do not have the secret note, as well as a save where I've already claimed the statue of course, nothing happens when I go back there and interact, no matter what I do. On the PS4 the correct button to check / interact is X. If you walk left then down from his truck, hit X, and nothing happens, and you do not have the statue already but Do have the secret note, that sounds like a bug. I'd put it in the help and bug reports forum and go from there.
