Why Shane's room is full of garbage?

Talking serious here, and, maybe some spoilers for people who doesnt follow his route.

Why there is beer on the floor? why is everything soo dirty? I really love Shane, but I cant stand his little room and it doesnt make any sense with the stuff his been trought.

-He quit drinking;
-Doing Therapy in Zuzu City;
-Found a new passion with the blue hens;

I mean, this guy is trying to leave the past behind and enjoy a brighter future, why cant he clean his own mess?

I think it shows a bit of character for him. On the outside you see Shane as someone turning themself around and getting things done, but on the inside of Shane there is still problems and with mroe time those problems could get solved. But it's still a mess on the inside.

I wouldn't call it a "mess." He is slowly righting himself on the Inside and maybe CA just didn't catch it or think to change it later on in your friendship. Yes, he still has some problems on the inside but it's not a mess once you get to be really really good friends him.

His story makes much more sense if you dont rush it, like, taking a full year or two to actually go trought all his heart events and stuff, it seems more realistic. But I really wish after, we say, the 14 heart event, his room became more "clean", at least the dirty footsteps on the floor could just vanish. Actually thinking, who cleans our house?

He was my first spouse and I kept him happy for two years. I was excepting a heart event where he literally cleans up since he has been cleaning his life up. But it never happened so I divorced him and do not pursue him on my other files. I really like him, so I still befriend him but I'll never marry him again if his room is going to be a pigsty. I love decorating the house and to see that mess ruins everything. And it undermines his growth as a character.

real talk. My ex quit her addiction habit but always kept something close as a reminder of what she didn't wanna be anymore. Maybe he's right there.

Maybe you got a point there Xcandixkitx, this could be him trying to move on, but always keepingan eye on what he was like, so he doesnt forget. I would love an heart event when he clean stuff, and maybe he show us an AA chip, showing he has been clean for an amount of time, even if he is not your spouse but as a friend, would be nice to see more develoment.
