If a fruit tree reaches the final stage of growth on Fall 28 will it produce a fruit?

I’m reasonably sure the answer is yes. Enough to where I’d definitely recommend ensuring the tree has room to grow, but not so much that I would pass on a pomegranate if one shows up in the traveling cart.

I’m reasonably certain my own pomegranate tree, which finished growing in season, had a fruit on it the first day it was fully grown. Not 100% sure though.

gonna be kinda upsetting if my tree doesnt grow cuz its year 2 and i wont have the center done for the 4 lit candles in the evaluation so hope i get lucky on the traveling cart

If you planted it in the previous season, it should give you one fruit, definitely if you planted on the 27th. I think you would have to worry if you planted it on fall 1st, but that doesn't sound like the case so I think you're fine.
