Friendship.

It turns out that Emily has a bit of a back door deal with Pierre to keep you coming into his shop until that Red Cabbage seed eventually turns up in the middle of Year 2. Why do you think it takes some out-of-towner to get the CC finally fixed up? Because everyone's already tried and ended up missing something, not knowing that someone else in the town has fixed the game.

And fat chance of you getting a Red Cabbage seed at the Wandering Trader's as Mr. Business Pierre gets up at 5:30am every Friday and Sunday, rushes out to her, paying whatever price is necessary to get that seed so I never will. Meanwhile I'm dozing under a tree fighting Slimes and catching Eels for the CC until late afternoon 1:50am, so there's no way I'm gonna beat Pierre to the Cart.

I need my beauty sleep. No really I need that, it's just bad genetics I look this way.

A little off topic, but when I completed this bundle, I got cutscenes every three seconds

Friendship, all the way. The purple cowboy demanding a Rabbit's Foot and the Chef's Bundle requiring a Truffle... not to mention the Red Cabbage for the Dye Bundle.
I always have the hardest time with the bloody Greenhouse upgrade. It's mostly due to the gold crops bundle. I can get some, but 5 of each it's a bit of a tall order if you've already planned out your farm.

Curse you Fairies!
My issue is with the Red Cabbage as it's restricted until Summer Year 2 unless you get rare luck at the Wandering Trader's. It is possible to grind for the Rabbit's Foot, Truffle and Gold quality Crops in Year 1, but you're at the mercy of your game seed (pun!) to get Le Cabbage.

At least there's the "Guarantee Year 1 Completable" option now in 1.5?
Plus serpents and mummies have a 0.2% chance of dropping red cabbage seeds as of 1.5, so you can grind for it if you're able/willing to kill an average of 500 of them. But yeah, it's definitely the most annoying one if you're not using the Year 1 Completable option or choosing a seed that you know has one in the cart.

(Technically, you can also grind for it in treasure chests in Skull Caverns, which have a ~0.14% chance of containing red cabbage seeds. @BlaDe did that once. IIRC, it took him over 20 real-life hours of nothing but laddering down in SC and resetting the day over and over. Do not recommend.)

Hey wow, I didn't know about those low %age options, that's better than nothing! Though if grinding for them with such low odds made me not like the game as much, then perhaps that's not the best (for me).

I had completely forgotten the Guarantee Year 1 Completed option. And or course my stupid brain is now telling me, "that wasn't CA's original intent and was only added because of community requests." As if that's not a good enough reason to enable the option. I have rather a big problem with hewing to Founder Effects wherever they pop up, as if they are somehow more relevant than rebalancing a game later on.

For me it was the Fish Tank/Glittering Boulder because I was terrible with fishing for the longest time, until I paired a controller with my device and got the hang of it lol. 😂
Now I could redo it easier than some others, thankfully.

Gold crop bundle does require a bit of forethought and planning to get, but it's not really all that hard. It does, however, require volume planting and harvesting, which in turn practically requires Quality Sprinklers by Summer at the latest.

I generally start off the run on Spring 1 by heading straight to Pierre and buying up as many Parsnip seeds as I can, so I get 40 in total, and plant them all that day. Then when they come up, I plant another 40 plus various other crops (bean sprout for bundle, cauliflower if you haven't managed to get five things into the Museum by now, and of course, another 40 Potatoes both for bundle completion and for profits). The second planting should go on purchased normal fertilizer. If you don't get the 5x gold star parsnips, replant until you do. If nothing else, you're grinding your farming skill in the process.

When Summer hits, Melons are rediculously profitable anyway, so get 40 of them down on Fertilizer and you should be good. Since you'll want to replant them in the middle of the season anyway, if you didn't get 5x gold star from your first crop, you are almost certain to finish the job by the second harvest.

Also in Summer, I get 16 or so Corn planted on Fertilizer. It's not much, but it consistently grows, so eventually it's going to churn out 5x gold-star produce, even if it takes until Fall to do it.

But most importantly, you must make absolutely sure to space out your planting so that there is *no chance* of Large Crops to spawn (i.e. no 3x3 or larger uninterrupted plots of the same crop). Large Crops double your profits, but there's zero chance of quality crops coming from them.

If you don't want to deal with the Corn, then Pumpkins are a very profitable crop, so go ahead and plant 40x or so of them on Fertilizer, then do it again mid-season.

I think the quality crops one is one of the easier ones to get. There is plenty of room for error on that one, since you need 3 of 4 different crops, and out of those 4, 2 of them are available in both summer and fall. It's a very noob-friendly bundle, imo.

From what it seems, (and what i agree with) it seems that fishing is one of the hardest ones for new players, but then it becomes the bulletin board bundles, which honestly i feel isn't really all that hard. I think what makes it hard is that people want to finish it as soon as possible, which the cabbage throws for a loop. I'm just curious about the people who said that the bulletin board (friendship) bundles are the hardest, is it just the cabbage? And also, is it because you're now veterans of the game and are trying to complete CC as soon as you feel like it (not necessarily speed running, but just getting it out of the way but that damn cabbage holds everything up!)?

Getting it from the cart would hardly be rare luck. If you check every Friday and Sunday, you have about a 1 in 2 chance to get either the cabbage by Winter 28, or a cabbage seed in time to grow it in the greenhouse
