PC Help! Gem bird pedestal bug

I can't seem to place gems from the birds on the pedestals in the jungle. I have the gems but I can't complete the quest :( Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I have no mods and am playing on PC.

Are you in multiplayer? I couldn't complete the quest when I wasn't the host, although I was still able to place the gems.

Are you using a gamepad by chance? What operating system (Windows/Mac/Linux) are you on?

Are you able to, say, place and pick up things like furniture?

I am using a controller plugged into my laptop that runs on the latest version of windows. I also tried to use the keyboard and it still wouldn't work. I all other parts of the game seem normal and I can pick up furniture. I can't use a tool near the pedestal either like I can't hit it with an axe, but the axe works every where else.

Same problem at the moment. I tried re-installing, tried playing on a different pc, and tried using a controller, but it still doesn't work.

I am also experiencing this bug. I had it ever since the update came out and for the longest time I assumed it was a bug that would get fixed, but apparently not. It's really frustrating. I tried verifying my files on Steam and uninstalling and re-installing the game, but it didn't work.
