Skull Cavern chutes & ladders

Skull cavern - does anyone know if using the chutes to go down several levels means you might be missing treasure rooms.
I avoid them just in case and I am only there for treasure rooms right now and they are rare enough! Looking for auto petters

The game checks for a treasure floor the moment that the floor is loaded. The Floor number is not part of this check.

Thanks. On lucky days I get tons of chutes.....prob because most will be trying to reach level 100.....it’s ok to use them then?
I have got to level 60 plus and still not get a treasure room

Yes. There is no difference to taking a ladder or a drop shaft for the purposes of finding treasure rooms.

Treasure rooms have a base chance of 1%. Daily luck has a swing of -1 - 1% (Max dailyLuck adds 1%). Each point of luck buff adds 1%. So go on lucky days and eat luck food, and wear luck rings if you have them.
