Solved Witches Hut entrance blocked

I recently finished the community center on one of my saves and had gone to see the cut scene for the wizard. I had seen the cutscene it multiple times so I made the mistake of skipping it this one time. A couple out of game days later I decide to go get the dark talisman and find that the thing the wizard usually makes fly away of sorts is still there. I figured maybe I could just befriend the wizard and use the teleport in his basement to get it but I realized that probably wouldn't work because I haven't dealt with the goblin at the entrance, so any ideas?

Does the pc still allow the sword swing exploit. Then you could enter the witches teleporter from behindi did this on console before to catch a void salmon in the first month for void eggs.

The wizard doesn't make anything fly away.

Order of events:
1 - He tells you about getting the dark talisman.
2- You talk to Krobus who unlocks the mutant bug lair.
3- You go get the dark talisman from the mutant bug lair.
4- You put the dark talisman in the chicken-legged statue blocking the way to the witch's swamp.
