Problem with undestroyable bushes

When I first played this game my sister :wcow: told me to start on the forest farm. I started with that without searching online because she was in year 3 so I thought she knew the forest farm was the best so I said ok. Now I am in year 3 and I was starting to realize the farm was too small :frog: and those lakes take to much from the space so I've done some research and found that I can change that farm layout from the save files :joja:. The farm looks perfect, but some of the bushes from the forest farm remained untouched and I can't destroy them :sword:. They are in a place were it is really bothering and I have a lot of dead spots :x:. How can I remove those bushes? If I can:lewis::shorts:

Honestly, I feel the same way about my forest farm D:
If you're talking about modding, then I have no clue.
If you're not talking about modding, then there's no way to destroy them. :P sad, ik

Each map is balanced separately. The Forest Farm's advantage is that a) you get forest foragables, and even Secret Forest foragables, on your farm, and b) you get stumps worth hardwood (and 25 foraging xp each!) that regrow daily on your farm. These are not inconsiderable advantages, as it removes the need for getting a Steel Axe in year one to get a community center bundle completion in your first year.

The tradeoff, however, is less overall space on the farm.

If mods are an option, there's one called Destroyable Bushes that is pretty nice. Even without switching maps (which always screws up pre-spawned terrain stuff), there are predetermined areas that have choppable bushes in vanilla, so there are always some lingering around somewhere... It comes with some console commands for specific bushes, too. You'd also be able to use SMAPI's console commands to just clear everything from the map at once (it's world_clear farm everything but that includes crops, trees, etc -- I forgot it doesn't do bushes alone ).

You can edit them out of the save manually without mods, but it's kind of a pain, and I personally don't ever recommend save editing before mods since mods are so much more forgiving :)

If mods are an option, here's how to do it:
You first download SMAPI to enable mods: https://smapi.io/
Then the Entoarox Framework: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2269

This will allow you to use commands directly in the command line that boots with the game. Load up your game, and then type or copy:
Code:
world_reset bushes
This will reset the bushes in their correct position for the type of map you are playing.

After the first axe upgrade you can destroy them with a copper or better axe.
Unless I misunderstood, their problem is that they changed maps mid-save, though, so bushes are out of place. Bushes can only be destroyed on certain map types within certain coordinate ranges, so if forest bushes are still present after switching to a different map, you may not be able to chop all or any of them depending on where they are. They can save edit them out, switch back to forest and chop the ones that are choppable and switch back, or use various modding options, but not necessarily be able to chop them all just because they got a new axe.
