Stone Owl?

Last night a i heared a owl while sleeping now i have a stone owl on my farm.Can someone tell me what it does?
Now i have the Capsule and the owl (im in year 2)

They've upped up the probabilities of you getting those events. They were really really rare with people with 400 years save files without getting the capsule for example now they are balanced and you have a greater chance.

I’ve never gotten a capsule before, I just made it to the 1st year of winter on my current save file and have two stone owls already!

I got one days before the chances to get one were changed.

So, prior to 1.5 there was a bug that made the stone owl and strange capsule ridiculously rarer than they were supposed to be. Since the update, however, they are still not super common, but a LOT more people are seeing them happen.

Basically, it used to be that there was a 1% chance each night of the game trying to start the event, and then it would pick 50 tiles and you'd only get the event if all 50 tiles were empty. This could include tiles like ponds, or the house, where it was impossible to have them be empty. Needless to say, passing that check was nearly impossible.

Now, there's still the 1% chance of the game trying to start the event, but only one of the 50 tiles has to be empty. So if you pass the 1% chance, it's pretty likely that the event will happen. (You can only get one strange capsule per game, but you can get multiple stone owls.)
