Creator Response Robin gift ability question

How long does Robin's gift ability take place? It says you only have to spend gold to buy a building, but it does not specify a time frame. We played that buildings cost only gold for the round that you activated the ability and you still had to go to her place and spend an action to do it.

The idea with her ability is that, if you have the gold required, when you choose to trigger her ability when a Gift Symbol appears on the Season Card, you may buy 1 or more buildings without the need to spend resources or an action. It is pretty powerful but obviously you need to have the gold on hand.

@Colito I don't want to make a whole new thread about this, but I have a question about Gus's friend ability. It says that he can mimic any other friend ability -- does that mean anyone you're friends with already, any friend any player is friends with already, or any potential friend? If it's the first two, is the ability moot if he's the only friend?

He can mimic any player's friend ability, including another of yours (though I don't think there is any reason to do that haha). If he is the only friend in play, his ability is useless.
