What happens if I never buy seeds from Pierre?

I'm trying a little experiment for my 3rd farm, the 4 corners farm. (Already finished standard and beach.)

I started with the parsnips and then only planted mixed seeds and whatever I could craft from spring foraging.

Donated to the museum and got melon and cauliflower seeds.

Bought the Jojo membership.

Spending every day in the cave mine since that is my favorite.

I'm curious how far I can get without ever buying one thing from the greedy Pierre. LOL

ehhh prolly pretty far. it's usually just easier from pierre. but you can get seeds from TC lady and a seedmaker and joja so i mean :/

Mixed seeds don't have all kind of crops.
Also fruit trees are from pierre, and the only other way of getting the fruit is going for the bat cave.

Like i've said before, I really dislike how they've changed Pierre's character over the years. He didn't always used to be that way. Idk why Ape decided to change his personality to make him act more like Joja. *shrugs*

You should be able to do pretty well though. Red Cabbage come as a monster drop later, so aside from that and fruit trees i'm not sure what else you'd NEED to get from Pierre's.

You can get fruit trees from the Traveling Cart, but it's a dice roll as to whether she'll be more or less expensive than Pierre.

I pretty regularly get artichokes from mixed seeds. I wish that CA would give us garlic and red cabbage in mixed seeds at the same rate as artichokes!

I’m not sure that trellis plants can come from mixed seeds but you might not need them since your going the JoJa route.

Yeah and hops and grapes. But I never grow grapes. I did a foraging based farm and never got a trellis plant, but I only depended on mixed seed for 2 seasons. I decided the Winter market and Sandy’s Oasis were acceptable for purchasing seeds.

I just realized he's going complete Joja and doesn't have to worry about the CC at all, oof.

I've never gotten trellis plants from mixed seeds--I don't think that's possible. It's easy enough to get grapes from foraging + the seedmaker, though.

So, since I decided to go for Qi's Perfection then I go to Pierre's.

I did a no seeds from Pierre farm run, but I did buy seeds and trees from the cart lady.

I went for the CC and I think I bought 2 seeds at the night market in year three because the cart lady had not sold them yet.

Beer comes from wheat. The trellis crop hops gets you pale ale.

Choosing joja means you don't need to plant anything, so don't worry about seeds. Since you like mining, I'd suggest slaying enough coal sprites to get the burglar ring, and make your money off all the monster loot you'll scoop up!
