week starts on Sunday no matter where you are I believe, however most people imagine it being Monday as the start of the week because Sunday technically counts as the weekend. Idk it's weird
and either way the month starts with Monday so I mean...

In game the first day of the week seems to vary. For gifts it starts on a Sunday, but for Mr Qi's quests it starts on a Monday!
