(Post-Community Center Spoilers) Awaiting Willy's Invite

Hi!
I read on the wiki page that after you finish the community center, Willy invites you to see the back room of his shed and gives you a quest that you can complete to access Ginger Island. How long after? I completed the Center mid-fall and I'm now in midwinter and haven't heard anything.

What are you playing the game on? That is 1.5 content, and if you're not playing on PC, it isn't available quite yet, but is coming soon. If you are on PC, it should be immediately on the following day.

Oh! I am playing it on Nintendo Switch. Thanks for the response, I'm super new to..gaming in general
If/when it is released on the Switch, will I have to buy something new or download it specifically or will it update automatically, do you know?

I'm not sure how the Switch updates, not having one. You may have to manually tell it to update in some fashion, or it may be automatic. Someone else could probably answer that better. I can tell you that you won't have to buy anything, however. Updating to 1.5 is free.

The Switch will automatically download game updates when they're available! There isn't a release date for 1.5 on console yet, but hopefully within the next few weeks if the update is approved by all the platforms (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft) the first time around. ConcernedApe will announce on Twitter when the update is available, and we'll have a post in the announcements section of the forums as well!

Edit: I should also mention Stardew Valley updates are free and will work with your current saves! Although you'll need to start a new save if you want to play on the new beach farm map or try out the remixed Community Center bundles.
