I want to put them in between each of my crystallariums so that they make noise as i pick everything up.

The singing stone only makes sound when you click on it. The flute block plays sound when you are near it.

as far as i'm aware you cannot, barring mods, save editing, or name exploits.
D: No way I can dupe it or something?

If you hold down right click it repeatedly makes noise, so if i go around picking up all the gems, and there is a singing stone mixed in between them, it'll make noise as i pass.

Okay, this is true... but a flute block will do the same too, won't it?

The flute block isn't random noise. It's also a single tone, not repeated.
Except you could tune them all to different tones so that as you go through the crystalariums you could have a song whistled at you, just like at the pirate's cove to get the golden walnuts from the mermaid.

If you want something that can make a sound as you pass by, so I recommend the flute block

You must have 6 hearts with Robin and enter her house when she's there. She will give you blueprints for making a drum block and a flute block. P.S. Robin loves spaghetti (:
You kinda messed up the spoiler tag, so I fixed it in my quote of your reply.

How you might want to use them? Type out in the reply, everything you'll hide behind the spoiler... then highlight it all... then from the insert menu select "spoiler"... then, in that pop up, all you type is what you want to see added to the spoiler button itself, not what you want hidden. Examples:

For this spoiler, I left the text in the popup blank.
For this spoiler, I entered into the popup: "usually you say what sort of thing is hidden here"

If you click 'reply' for my post here now, you can take a look at these examples too to see how they look in bbcode. 🙂

While you can get more than one by inviting others to your farm and having them collect the museum awards again (each player gets a copy of all museum rewards in co-op), that only gets you a total of 4 (after quite a bit of work). As others have mentioned, the drum or flute block is probably the better option for what you're looking for.
