Forum update thread

I tried my PC last night that was having the problem the day before and it was fine. Maybe this is an intermittent thing? It's weird, clear and defined problems can be usually be fixed but random ones can be a real pain to tease out the solution.

Uh… I noticed the forums isn’t accessible on desktop. On mobile I can access the forums just fine but when I try to access the forums on desktop I get redirected to the Wiki. Why is that?

I had that issue on mobile, but didn't check if it also happened on PC... Maybe it was just a "Bug" from the restored Wiki, kinda like " Hey, I'm back, don't go to the forum, better check out my new apperance!"

There was a brief redirection issue, but it should be fixed by now. If you're still getting redirected to the wiki, try clearing your browser's cache or doing a hard refresh

Sadly, did not work for me (just tried that hard refresh)

I had to clear the cache. Twice. A wiki homepage opened by clicking on the wiki logo on top of the page brought back the problem, which was the cause for the second cache clearance. Once I had a "clean" forum homepage I closed the tabs opened before the redirection issue had been solved, in case they'd still have the problem.

I still get the empty wiki. I've cleared cache, hard refreshed several times, closet the browser (and the whole -puter, ovrenight). No success. I have to worm to the site via history, then I can search or use the "What's new" tab. "Forums", and top level subforums go to wiki, "New posts" to an empty wiki page.

Also yesterday the forums couldn't load. It just brought me to this web page with the same format as these forums and it said "Page could not be loaded".

I think that happens to me too, but reloading fixes it. I always blamed bad connection for it...
