Change in platform

Hey everyone! @PorkChop here again. I played on PS4 and PS5 and I was thinking about moving to PC. Obviously this would be just for co-op and I would keep playing on the PS system. I was going to change to PC not only for the 1.5 to be already available, but to also play co-op with my good friend @DaBroz. So, I was wondering, Is this a good idea? Is PC easier? Is it a good choice? Please tell me before buying it (again). Thanks everyone and BYE!

That depends on your PC gaming skills and how you handle the differences you'll find there. I've never played on any of the non-PC versions, so I can't tell you what to expect coming to PC. You might want to check out Boo1972's "What have I done?" thread, she recently tried to play the PC version from a different platform.

It's definitely a change in the controls, whether it's easier or not depends on what you're used to (e.g. personally I'm awful at anything involving a joystick, I assume that's not true of you).

For what it's worth, Boo1972's thread mentioned above is about going from mobile to PC. I imagine going from console to PC would be easier because you wouldn't be used to some stuff that mobile has like auto-switching tools, but I've never played on console so IDK.

I've played on the PC using a controller so like Odin mentioned it is doable. (Controller helped me with the fishing when I first started playing SDV two years ago).

I can only say (and it's a personal thinking) that for me the PC platform is better than some others that I've tried, but it's only a personal thought.
Depends only on the custom that you have on a certain platform.

As Sigrah says, there's a lot of good discussion in that other thread. Linked here for posterity: https://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/what-have-i-done.3984/
