1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

On Friday I made monster musk and ran out after more bats. I had to zap back (I love my Return Sceptre) at 1:20 - three short of the goal. I got a ton of money, some Qi gems and assorted other loot - including an iridium band.

So on Saturday, after doing the farm chores and bringing Alex his birthday-breakfast, I went back to find the last three. I unforged my burglar/slimecharmer combo ring and made two combined iridium bands with them. I really wish we had more ring slots so I could keep wearing my lucky ring, too.
I harvested my melons and bought 48 new seeds. While I was in the shop, I also gave Pierre his stocklist.

Sunday needed to be a desert day. I need more starfruit and beet seeds and I have a nice collection of jade. I bought some more desert totems from the trader, and my third butterfly hutch for the greenhouse. I accidentally clicked on a large brown couch and decided to run with it. It matches the brown chair that came with the house.

The following Monday was a Green Rain day, so that basically just stopped all my plans. I ran around most of the map, but didn't get the living hat. (I've only ever had it once, a few games ago...)
I spent the next few days trying to fulfill a resource run quest from Robin (stone this time) and taking care of the animals. Not much to report, same old, same old.
Sam got a cactus fruit for his birthday.

I'm still in early game, I started a new save thati have told myself I must keep. This is what's happing so far:

I was playing for a bit and am about to stard day 8 or 9. Azzia has just discovered that Abigal eats quartz (Irl person knew this from the wiki, but it's still really funny to here her iconic line.I am giving out gifts left and right. Leah has a tone of daffodils since she's arguably one of my favourites, and I'm saving some quartz for Abigail and Emily. I would lover to keep track of all the things I do on this farm more, but that's all I got.

I spent most of my time in the mines with only a bit of money. I have a strategy, get two chests and put one next to the shipping bin. On days 1-5 grow food. Put it in the chest. Make sure you have little to no money (buy expensive seeds) so if you pass out it's ok. I can't take credit for this idea. The true genius was @Cptldsilver.

Buddy was strolling along with a Rabbit's foot to give to Jas, who he spotted amid the school group. As he tried to hand it to her, Penny snatched it out of his hands and started screaming:

"You MONSTER! Giving a piece of a dead bunny to a little girl! How horrible!"

"But, Penny, they shed them naturally when the tread depth is below 3/32".

"Yeah, that's what Big Rabbits' Foot WANTS you to think! I know the TRUTH!"

Buddy gave Jas, who was biting her lower lip, a Sweet Pea, which she didn't hate, and he backed away slowly from the group.

A few days later he got Jas alone, jumping rope, and gave her a rabbit's foot there! She loved it!

I was at floor 100 at 10:30 am, which is probably some kind of record in itself.

I don't know if Oil Of Garlic does anything, but I keep chugging it anyway. I'm sure it doesn't hurt.

Infested floors are the worst. I could use a better weapon. A few more runs I guess and then I'll work on forging a real good Dragontooth Club.

Kate managed to snag two serpent statues for the statue garden - I *think* these are all the statues? I may be missing a secret one, but if so don't tell me 😅. I was definitely spoiled to get the Iridium Krobus...

Meantime, Anlei is working on her sheep farm. Got two barns so far (first time I've ever bought more than one coop or barn!), with just a few cows, one goat, two pigs, and the rest sheep, since I'm going for Shepherd on this save. Coop is filled with chickens (one void chicken got from the witch, thank you) and a couple of ducks. Will probably need another coop at some point for when I get a dino egg, and I should get at least one rabbit for the two feet that are essential (one to sell and one for the truck driver). Going Joja this time meant I was far less reluctant to expand animals quickly, because of the relatively easy access to the auto-petter.

She also just bought a stardrop from Krobus, and her mind was filled with thoughts of xiao long bao (which is in real life my absolute favorite food!).

I did remember Demetrius' birthday. I skipped the trout derby and spent some time in the mines instead. I also went to see Robin about "community improvements" and spent most of my wood on having Robin build Pam a house.

On Monday it was Dwarf's birthday. On Wednesday I finally went into town, on my way to the beach to bring Willy a birthday gift, but I ran into Robin who wanted to unveil her new masterpiece. I decided that being anonymous is over-rated. I also decided to just have the whole thing be a gift, because I don't really care about how Pam treats Penny. She did promise she'd be nicer to her, though, so I'm glad I didn't lecture.
Anyway, Willy got his birthday present, and I went to see Robin the next day to ask her to upgrade my last barn. I had to buy the stone, as I'm fresh out again.

The next day I ran into Pam on my way to the book seller, and she thanked me again for her new house. I peeked in, and she seems to keep it nice this time - except for the sixpack rings and mountain of bottles in her bedroom, that is.

My weeks are more uneventful lately. Just messing around on the farm takes forever. Keeping dozens of barn animals is definitely more tiring than filling dozens of kegs with ancient fruit.
I need to go hunt for more auto-petters.

Sophia likes things with fairy in their name. Susan is the one with the sweet tooth. Those are almost the only gifting things I remember from my very little playing SVE; I also remember Olivia likes expensive-looking things.

I've always counted the suit of armour as a statue, but I guess it's technically other decor. I can't think of any actual statues you're missing, anyhow. Impressive!

Today, I accepted my first Qi quest! I needed to find some Rainbow Gems, so I packed everything I’d need for a trip into the caves and headed out.

I’m especially bad at the parts of the Skull Cavern where the mummies are. I was like, “Nope, nope, nope!!” and immediately ran away down a staircase. 💨

Luckily, I managed to complete the quest and received a mysterious reward! 👏

Lately, Gus has been breaking through my flamingo barricades all the time, so I thought, “I’m not losing to Gus!” 😂 I spent extra time making the barricades more secure than usual, so I was sure they were perfect!

The next day, I went to check the Saloon and Gus was nowhere to be found?!

Then I took a closer look and realized he had gotten himself trapped in his bedroom. 😂

Anlei got the first prismatic shard! This time from a mystic stone in the freshly-opened quarry. Just in time, too, I was about to spend money on a lava katana but I much prefer the Galaxy sword...

They're easy to come by in late game but it's always interesting to me to see where that first one comes from in each save. Once I got it from a meteor, and once I got one really early from a normal skeleton drop, that was pretty fun.

On current save I got one from a fishing treasure chest in spring Y1. Same spring, same way I got the ancient seed and both rare dolls. The luck was crazy.

Saw the highest possible luck on TV, went to SC. Wasn't trying to go too deep and spent quite a lot of time on things like grouping up all mummies on a floor to blow them up with one bomb. Got an auto petter on floor 18 ;)

Year 60 and the desert festival is coming up.

I've decided to see how many Calico Eggs I can get, even though I don't want them for anything. I have no idea how many I can get. 5000?

In other news, I got all my Junimo Kart scores above 100k.

Every time I start doing really well, my heart starts to race and I end up choking. I guess I'm human after all! Technically!

Attended the first desert festival, and was able to complete the get-to-level-30 challenge even with no staircases and not a lot of bombs, pretty easily actually since it was a very good luck day. Unfortunately I somehow missed the Y2 Egg Festival, but happily Maru was running a booth so I was able to buy some strawberry seeds from her with my winnings, whew! Promptly planted them in the greenhouse. No ancient seed yet, so we'll see when I can start growing those, but in the meantime I'm going to be growing gifts.

I think I might marry Sam this save, just because I haven't before, so also growing some cacti in the greenhouse, which also works for Linus and he's actually already got a lot of hearts. I somehow always max out Linus first, simply because he likes forages and when I pass him on the way to/from the mines in the early game (pre-minecarts), I give him one of whatever I just picked up.
