PC Queen of Sauce on Summer 21 Y2 (Pink Cake) doesn't add Pink Cake to Haley's gift log

Despite the fact that the tag is "PC", this applies to all versions.

Watching the Queen of Sauce episode on Summer 21 of Year 2 (giving the recipe for Pink Cake) doesn't add Pink Cake as a loved gift to Haley's gift log, despite the fact that it mentions that Haley loves Pink Cake. The text shown is "A viewer from Pelican Town wrote to me recently... let's see... Her name's Haley. She wrote, 'I tried your pink cake last time I was in Zuzu City and I fell in love with it. Could you share the recipe on your next episode?'. Well, why not? It's a marvelous cake. And you'll never guess the secret ingredient... melon!".

Steps to reproduce:
Play the game until Summer 21 of Year 2 without ever gifting Pink Cake to Haley
Watch the Queen of Sauce on that day and see that Pink Cake isn't added to Haley's gift log

This isn't a bug. Items only get added to characters' gift logs after gifting them to that person once.

But they don't get added when someone tells you about their friends dislikes and likes.

Items are added to the gift log when another villager mentions that they or someone else likes/dislikes the item.

Source: Abigail just gold me her dad hates Garlic, and Garlic is now shown under Pierre's gift log as hated. Also, the wiki page for Friendship says "This log keeps track of gifts given, and gift preferences learned via Secret Notes and dialogues with their family and friends."

This is probably an oversight, but it's definitely worth considering. If not, then at least you remembered it and can gift it to her yourself :P
