Spring 28, Year 4 at Cozy Farm
Madly rushed around the farm in the rain harvesting all the crops before Summer tomorrow (why do I always leave it until the last day of the season!!). Almost forgot to harvest the flower patch in the Stardew Valley Expanded Community Garden. Happy I had the time to harvest a gazillion peonies for floral bouquets:

Also went on a date with Shane to the Library (thanks to the Date Night mod), where he had a hot coffee waiting for me, and we ended up reading a detective novel together (until Gunther gently reminded us it was closing time).

I played the last two weeks of Spring in one sitting. Didn't plan to, but just got sucked in... 😂 Not unusual for me when it comes to this game, to be honest... 😆

*

The desert festival was a bit hit-and-miss. I managed to slay 10 serpents for Marlon, but it was a serpent rush on the second floor, so my egg rating wasn't anything I'd even care to tell Gil about.
The next day I totally failed to catch a scorpion carp. I did manage to get my three outfits from Emily, but I forgot to pick up the free cactus.

I remembered Pam's birthday, though, and I now have my first 10-heart relationship.

I got the monster eradication goals for dust sprites and duggies. I need 31 bats, exactly 100 void spirits, 32 rock crabs and some 450 or so slimes in the regular mines. Want to concentrate on those and get up my combat skill before I go back to the skull cavern. I'm stuck at level 8.

Reached level 10 in Foraging and chose Botanist. Failed Robin's hardwood quest because I apparently forgot to go to the secret woods one day, and you really need to go every day if you have no other source of hardwood.

I finally bought a pomegranate sapling. The traveling cart had one relatively cheap. I'm slowly starting to set up ancient fruits in my greenhouse. I found three of them in the mines so far, and just harvested the first one and turned it into two seeds.

I remembered Shane's birthday and I finally remembered to rummage through the trash in town. All I got was some broken glasses and an acorn.
And I once again forgot QoS.

The last week of Spring I gathered 100 bone pieces for Gunther without any problems. I was annoyed, though, because Evelyn's quest had no come up all Spring, and it only works in Spring. I wanted that coffee maker!

I danced with Shane at the flower dance, and apparently that got me to 8 hearts with him. So the next day Pierre started advertising his bouquets. I bought a void egg from Krobus after the dance. I had just intended a quick visit to give him a horseradish, but the egg called to me.

I spent Thursday and Friday in the rain, mostly fishing. Assisted Shane with his Joja commercial and watched Clint turn Bluu.
Both Pierre and Emily received their birthday presents. Yeah! So proud of my ability to read a calendar!!:grin:
I managed to get Level 10 Mining while trying to work on my Combat skill. I chose Miner, because I rarely have trouble finding coal, and I do sell a lot of bars in the late game.

On Saturday I went to see Krobus and bought his stardrop. I left the sewers and jumped back in to get the cut scene with Dwarf. And I caught the Mutant Carp. Still at level 9, though.
I also bought a second rabbit. I debated buying another goat - but I'm still hoping my goat will give birth and save me the money.

Sunday I cleaned up the last of my harvest. I have some cauliflower left from mixed seeds that didn't quite mature.

I went to Pierre's to buy an orange sapling. I will probably not get an orange from it this year, because I really should have planted it earlier this week. Before I could buy it, though, I somehow had the urge to sneak into Pierre's bedroom and discover his "stash" of whatever it is...

I went to check up on Krobus, who assured me he was just a little bruised. Then I went to see Dwarf, who just wanted to know about "milk" and never mentioned the fight at all.

I passed out filling my kegs, woke up with a strawberry on my head, and now have two QoS recipes to catch up on.

Agreed! I have quite a large mahogany grove on my most-developed farm, and I love it even if it isn't all that useful much anymore (though you are right about the wood chippers, especially with hoppers)
Also, tapping mahogany trees is surprisingly useful if you make your own fertilizer. Some people won't need to deal with this, but as someone who sells stacks of 999 sap regularly, I sometimes don't have a stash when I need it for crafting, so I started tapping mahogany trees, and problem solved.

Kate got 2 of the remaining 3 blue jazz colors in the same day. YOSS!!!! Stacks of ancient fruit wine and jelly are growing, plus an awesome stack of legend II roe (I might make it to a full stack in a year ... maybe) and various dried shrooms. And diamonds of course 😁 💎.

I didn't get as big of a haul of moss this year's green rain, because it happened to land on a day when all the various timings happened to coincide. So I had to harvest GI, fill the two sheds of kegs, fill the 1.5 sheds of jelly, grab fish roe, harvest the quarry of diamonds, AND harvest the mushrooms before I finally got around to going and scything a few big weeds. Happily, though, I'd prepped quite a lot of trees for cutting down later, so they all grew moss and those I was able to save for the next day.

Summer started with me sitting in bed holding a strawberry, because like I said, I'd once again fainted on the farm.
Joja charged me 1,000g.

I bought a load of seeds. Blueberry, tomato, pepper, hops, spangle, poppy, melon, radish, wheat and of course red cabbage. Planted what I had room for (plus some summer squash). Put the rest in a chest. Cleaned up some weeds and debris.
I neglected all of my animals that first day, there was just too much to do. I did make some extra mayo machines.

And yes, I also planted a few mahogany seeds, using tree fertilizer on all of them. I know Robin won't give up that easily...

I spent most of the week fishing and fighting monsters, but I didn't reach level 10 in either skill. I did remember Jas' birthday and brought her a fairy rose.
I picked up a quest from Demetrius, who wanted me to catch 10 red mullets. I went to the far side of the beach to do so, and managed to catch 5 mullets and the Crimson Fish the first day, and then my inventory was full.

On Friday I bought a second iridium sprinkler for my greenhouse, and a stardrop.

Saturday was Green Rain Day, so I just ran around slashing at weeds. Didn't find the living hat. Demetrius sent me a letter asking for a pufferfish, and I just happen to have one in my fish chest. Also, my first peppers are ready for harvesting. And my baby mahogany trees got a boost, too. (I think the fertilizer helped, too...)

I didn't want to go to the desert on Sunday. Instead I'm concentrating on the regular mines to get my monster goals. Although my first stop was to see Demetrius to give him is puffer fish. Robin intercepted me because she wanted me to have blueprints for flute blocks and drum blocks. And I decided to see Maru and Sebastian while I was there anyway. Sebastian told me about his freelance programming job. Maru didn't have anything important to say, she was busy doing something with a gadget.

I didn't do a lot of monster hunting, but I did try for the stone fish and the ice pip. Didn't get the ice pip, but did manage to get my Level 10 in Fishing. I chose Pirate, because treasure chests are fun and money is boring.

I forgot Queen of Sauce. Again.

Kate decided to put a little effort into Ginger Island while she's focusing on the daily grind to get a pseudo-accurate tally of farm income. She planned a very nice beehive emporium on the beach. But! Then she realized that fairy roses, or any crops at all, don't grow on the beach, even in a pot. Dergit!! She actually knew that already, but had forgotten (and is playing unmodded on mobile so can't utilize a 'fix').

So! She made do with a less ambitious version in a smaller open space west of the creek; had to permanently chop a couple coconut trees but that's ok. She needed wood for the beehives (bee houses??) anyway.

Monday I decided to try the mines again. I fainted, lost a ton of money and some junk from my backpack, so I went to Marlon to ask him to at least get me my silver bar back.

It was also Gus' birthday, so I brought him a diamond. I ran into Elliott, drank to our friendship, ended up outside so I had to walk in again. This time it was Clint who intercepted me and started talking about his love life - and I ended up outside the door again.
And then I almost gave the diamond to Emily, who got in my way. I quickly switched to an amethyst I had lying around and gave that to her, then turned around to Gus to give him his birthday gift. I hope he appreciates how much work I put into that gift. 😜

I'm going to try Robin's hardwood request again. Also, my cat loves me now.

The next day Gus demonstrated his appreciation by dragging his marinara, a mini juke-box and blueprints down to the farm. I have no idea where to put the juke-box, so I put it in a chest for now.
My lost silver bar was in the mail. I went back to the mine and managed to get my eradication goals for bats and void spirits. I also fainted again in the process, because I keep forgetting to eat. Didn't lose a lot, but did ask Marlon to get back my goat's cheese. Because, why not...
Got my monster slaying rewards from Gil, and then rushed to the Secret Woods, because I need to get that hardwood for Robin. Fainted on my way home. I'm bleeding money to Joja and Harvey at the moment, so inefficient!! 🤕

On Wednesday I finally remembered to check QoS. I now know how to make hashbrowns. Unfortunately Joja doesn't sell oil and Pierre is closed on Wednesday.
I optimistically dropped off the hardwood at Robin's place, and gave Maru her birthday present (a strawberry). Talked to Sebby, came back out of the basement to be dragged into Maru's room to look at her project, which burned my hands.
I went back to the mines to kill some more monsters. One of them dropped a Combat Quarterly, which should help with those last pesky few hundred XPs I need.
Came out of the mines just before 11:30 pm, so I got waylaid by Maru again - this time to gaze through her telescope.

I like Maru. Maybe I'll marry her this time. Either that, or maybe I should have Krobus move in? Decisions, decisions...

Went to the desert festival to see what clothes and cactus I'd get, and to fool around in the Skull Cavern. Of course it meant foregoing a lot of chores I could've done if I hadn't gone adventuring. Bought strawberry seeds for next year and some other stuff. Spent what remained of my calico eggs on mega bombs. Traded out two more stacks, so now I have just 4 stacks of ancient fruit wine in my stack chest.

Spotted an Extended Family quest on the week of the Flower Dance, but I left it there, knowing there wouldn't be much time until after the dance.

On Thursday I harvested my red cabbages and then ran over to the mines to kill a few void spirits. I just need to be at the Luau before 2:00 pm. Once I had some ideas to sleep on, I went to the community center to drop off a red cabbage.
I realised I'd forgotten the Secret Woods again yesterday, but went there anyway, just in case one of the trees on my farm grows in time. On the way back to the luau I ran into Clint spying on Emily and Caroline.
I talked to everyone at the luau and threw a gold-star cauliflower into the soup. The Purple Parvenu loved it.
Back at the farm I messed up my planting - I had 8 red cabbage seeds and 16 radish seeds and they're now sort of mixed together. Oh, well.

I got Level 10 Combat, chose to be a Brute, and woke up with the sense that a New Way had been opened.

I wasn't sure whether a great soup gave you friendship points even if you already got the achievement, but I think it did. Unless it's just from talking to everyone? In any case, I found three recipes in the mail, and on Thursday morning I ran right into Alex talking to Dusty. And then I ran into Haley taking photographs.
I decided to visit Leah, who isn't high on my friendship list. I haven't seen any of her heart events yet. I suggested the art show, because I find that more amusing than the web page. Her sculptures are so wonderfully weird!
Gathered more hardwood. I have 48 now. I can get another 24 from the secret woods. Unfortunately I don't think tiny hardwood trees give you hardwood when you chop them, so fingers crossed one will mature before the end of the week.

It helped, on Saturday I was able to chop down a mahogany tree and get 10 hardwood. Got another 12 in the secret woods, and since I already dropped 80 off at Robin's, all I need to do is not forget to chop another 12 on Sunday.
Because it was raining, I found Shane at the edge of the cliff. So I dragged him to the clinic.

On Sunday Shane was on my doorstep. I remembered to watch Queen of Sauce, harvested and finally properly tended to my animals. And I did not forget my last 12 pieces of hardwood. It's a good chance to slay some more slimes, too. I think I need another 250 or so. I also need to kill 20 more rock crabs, but I can do both in the Skull Cavern, too, so I think I'm done with the regular mines for now. Except for the fish, that is.

Time to get more serious about the desert.

Went to the Flower Dance. Then spent the night on Ginger Island. Had thought to just get the coffee beans, but then the kegs started to signal that they were ready for a new cycle, so I got the reset started and finished it the next morning.

Spent the last three days of Spring trying to catch as many Legend II as I could, but made sure to do the most important chores first. Which meant fishing happened from about 7 pm. Still caught 9 of them.

Things that got delayed because of the Extended Family quest is a diamond harvest, forcing the casks into a new cycle, and the jelly shed.
