Calm down. Stardew Valley is not a scam, and after reading through all the replies everyone has tried to help you. Instead of complaining and whining, you should listen to them and take their ideas to heart. Click on the links they've generously posted for you and learn how to play. The controls are pretty basic, but when switching tools and items that can be a little difficult. CA put a lot of time, effort and money into this game, so if you could at least appreciate his hard work and use less strong words, I'd be happy. If you have any friends or family that play the game, reach out to them! Hopefully I did not offend you, but please appreciate what the wonderful people on these forums are doing for you. :)

I used the tutorial for my first farm. It was pretty basic, and everything that was in it you could do since the release of the game pretty much. Very helpful tho.

The controls are a little different if you're used to a regular games console. Also not all games controllers are compatible..my switch pro doesn't work with my ipad version I use the PS5 controller that came with my PS5
On the screen in the house you have to press the 3 lines then the last tab with a pic of a controller on it and there's some options there..I find I need to make sure my controller is synched BEFORE opening SDV (make sure your tablet knows its connected) THEN open the game.
I find even if i have it set it to 'tap to move' and auto attack' the game still recognises that there's a traditional controller connected and I can use both together.
I find the controller easier when doing things like chopping trees use the auto move to move right across the map quickly by zooming out and clicking on furthest point and character walks there I find they move a bit quicker than when you're using a controller to move. I like the auto attack in the mines cos it changes from tool to sword quicker than I can manage it..and find watering and clearing farm quicker at beginning just pressing on the the single stones, branches etc as it changes automatically.
I find putting stuff in the chests and moving and trying to select a certain number trickier if just use touch controls and prefer a controller for the fishing but I find the larger screen (than my Switch) much easier to see for playing in bed (usually have to play switch version docked to be able to see menu items properly)

Pretty sure I used it too. It is made to teach you the very basic things and then let you explore by yourself. So it is helpful at first, but after you've played for almost any amount of time its just not helpful anymore. Which is a good thing.

I found it hard to play on iPad.
However, I never thought it was a scam. Considering how old the game is, and how many people actually play it, it would be very odd if it was indeed a scam and millions of people were actively in on it and paid to leave glowing reviews and make YouTube videos about the game.
I was recently given Paralives, and I can't play it. Probably something that's wrong with my computer, though. I would not automatically jump the conclusion that it's a scam, especially considering the amount of social media (especially YouTube) content there is of people playing.
