1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Went to two of three days of the Night Market. Farm chores had to take priority on one of those days. Now the only starfruit wine in the stack chest is iridium quality. One more year... well, a bit more than that, to age the stack I just removed.

Took on a Qi's Cuisine quest, just to have a reason to use up the taro roots. Had to be a bit careful with making sashimi for the quest though. Didn't want to risk turning the super cucumbers into sashimi by accident.

*looks at kitchen* I'd better clean it up before I bake my yearly cake.

Reached year 13. *does math* Seems like I managed to earn 91 million in year 12.

Built a new shed, and am currently having it upgraded. I intend to fill it with statues of endless fortune and get some interest on my money rather than just have millions sitting there. Crystalariums can be left alone until the indicator tells me they're ready, but those statues need to be part of the daily routine. That shed means I can remodel the southern room and up the amethyst production in the southern room. If I want to get Abigail her chest full of amethyst before I reach 1 billion earned, I need more than 3-4 stacks a year.

Didn't get all that many days further today, but I have moved my statues of endless fortune into the new shed, bought a bunch more, then doubled my geode crushers to handle the geodes I'll get from there.

Also found that the dig site over on Ginger Island had turned into something of a mahogany grove since my last visit there.

Past couple game-days I embarked upon a couple of things - cleared out the quarry (is it disturbing that I love bombing the quarry when it's full? Especially with the dwarf statue perk so I can just stand in the middle of the destruction 😅) and moved my existing crystallariums there. Started on my plan for a flower garden in the newly-empty south room, which will take some time to get right. Bought a ton of treasure hunters and threw them in hoppers on deconstructors to get gold bars for more crystallariums (will probably throw in some staircases too at some point, but for now I've already got quite a few full stacks of stone for the purpose). I've never done anything with the quarry before (except blow it up) so this'll be new and different...

No, why, I love that too! Bombs in general. I barely use staircases in the SC because bombs are way more fun even if I'm getting less stuff by not getting as deep. Bomb the trees if I'm in the late game and can afford it. Bomb the dig site on GI. Bomb Mr. Qi.
Explosions :D

I broke my farmer's hermitage slightly, in that I decided that Rowan could go straight to the Winter Star, give their gift to their secret Santa (Alex) and run away immediately. They only spoke to Alex and Evelyn.

I also completely missed the last day they're allowed to leave the farm (The 27, to the mountain lake) due to trying to finish a bulletin board quest I'd forgotten I signed up for until I had 2 days left in the season (getting Marnie fiber, which required spamming the mining levels where weeds show up. I failed but I was closer than I should have been). So I allowed a brief foray out on Sunday the 28th, after giving up on a giant powdermelon in the garden and harvesting the lot.

The weird thing about playing a hermit run is that I start feeling a bit rattled when I do run into the NPCs (except Robin, because getting buildings built has started making her feel like a nearly familiar face. Not that Rowan would say so, but y'know, they let her come to the farm and do stuff, that's practically a declaration of undying friendship for this one.)

So having Kent show up on the farmer's doorstep to introduce himself felt really awkward this time around. Like; I guess Jodi didn't have a chance to warn him the farmer starts stammering, panicking and running away if they talk to too many people.

I'm continuing a save where I can't buy seeds except for strawberry seeds. ("That's a weird exception, why?" Why? I like strawberries.) I'm in summer, finished the mines, mostly doing fishing. I gotta say, SDV without farming is a lot more relaxing. Summer was good for my farming skill becvause I got a LOT of wild seeds from the green rain. Haven't really befriended anyone though. Have given Haley some of my sunflowers because she's easy that way.

Feeling kinda miffed that I left some of the harvesting too long... No, not crops. A day when I needed to harvest the crystalariums, mushroom logs, and tappers, and ended up partially harvesting all three, because I let other farm chores take priority until too late in the day. The reason for awkward priorities is the Desert Festival that true to tradition threw a spanner in the works. Delayed tending to the kegs on Ginger Island too. :hmph:

Sorry, I'm not ignoring you, I just, I don't know. It's like a multi-part video and it just started so the later parts aren't out yet. I'm not interested enough to watch right now but it seems like he starts on the Riverlands Farm with 2 Cabins so that he starts with 3 total Fish Smokers. So I guess he fishes alot and probably goes to the Desert Festival I guess. Maybe you could watch it for me and uh, keep us updated :) haha

Armed with a bug-killer enchanted Infinity Sword, a Holy Blade thrice ruby forged, wearing an iridium band/slime charmer combination ring on one hand, and a lucky ring/vampire ring combination on the other, Ferry entered the volcano and opened up the caldera for the first time.

His first use of the Caldera forge was to put an Autohook enchantment on his advanced iridium rod.

I finished the vault in time for the Desert Festival and proposed to Shane (accidentally ending up with the wedding scheduled for the last day of the festival). For once I remembered to screencap the calendar so I can remember our anniversary - I like to give my spouse something then even though the game doesn't recognize it. (Ironically, my RL anniversary is tomorrow, and the present I ordered is stuck somewhere and won't arrive in time. )

Also planted a mahogany forest in the corner of the (Meadowlands) farm and an ancient seed in the greenhouse. And I surprised myself by winning the egg festival! I usually have trouble with that one and didn't even bother with a speed buff, but somehow it worked out.
