1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

More mining is literally all I did. I wake up sell the dried mushrooms, put 5 more in the dehydrator, water a few crops and head to the mines. Finished the void spirits erradication goal, got the ring, now up to the frozen levels for dust sprites. Good thing the farmer never gets sick from those temperature changes lol.

Today I finally found the elusive bat fossil in the vulcano. After dying there twice and losing a ton of stuff.
I decided that I was not going to go after that last single walnut. I know it's in a rare chest, I've only ever found those in levels past the dwarf.

So rather than risking my life again for a single walnut, I paid the parrot 10,000 gold. Also, I was curious what would happen. Apparently the money goes straight to Morris.

Today, I made my marriage proposal to Abby at the Desert Festival, but it seems that her festival dialogue overwrites the proposal dialogue.

Oh well. At least it was a great location to ask her. Too bad Sebastian was only a few feet away and witnessed the whole thing. Sam was there too. (Layout of Desert Festival Day 1)

And having not yet gotten Sam's or Seb's 8-heart events, I imagine that it's gonna be pretty awkward deep down when those times come.

Today I did a quest for the Wizard to find him some Ectoplasm, lucky me happened to get two pieces of it from only one Ghost. ☺ Such thing never happened in any of my saves so far and it wasn't even a lucky day, just a neutral one... Any chance to keep the leftover one, well, for whatever or just for fun? Quest isn't over, haven't talked to him yet.

I think getting 1 of my mastery benchmarks done affected some of the fixed predicable elements of my save. The github predictor said Maru and Pam would be at the Desert Festival stalls on day 3, but I got a mastery the day before and Penny and Robin were there instead.

Oh well, I always try to collect rare things, and their wallpapers were once-in-a-lifetime.

Update: A spouse reaction I've never seen before. At night on the day of the wedding, Abby said one of her usual evening dialogues, and my next interaction with her caused her to jump in the air and use an '!' emoji. Does anyone who knows enough about the marriage coding know what this means?

Another update: the vendors at the desert festival changed again. To anyone who knows how to work/update the predictor on github, it seems that some parameters change depending on mastery, and possibly marriage.

If you approach your spouse from behind, there is a chance for you to surprise them, which is what Abigail's reaction was.

I was able to get to the desert before 8:00 a.m. - Pam was not there, she left a note that she was going to Ginger Island and I could drive myself. Apparently this means I no longer had to "wait for the driver" before I was able to buy my ticket. Learned something new today!

I didn't stay in the skull cavern that long - just tried to slay a few monsters and get some copper and silver, which I need more than gold or iridium at the moment. The regular mines are on "dangerous", so it's actually safer to mine the cheap metals in the skull cavern now.

I didn't stay until the very end of the day, I got home in time to bring some stuff to the raccoons. I got lucky and they gave me my last unshipped item, which was an ostrich egg. My ostrich only laid one egg so far and I put that in the incubator, so this one went into the shipping bin.
Then I went to the cave to get my last Mastery. This time I saved farming for last. I was able to make the statue, but shouldn't have - now I'm low on stone... Oh, well.

Wow, they give you an Ostrich Egg!? How's that? Never thought they would do so, I always get fairy dust, seeds, mystery boxes... 🤔

There's one quest (I think it's the fourth - but don't quote me on that) where they give you either five mystery boxes or your next unshipped item. The egg was my only unshipped item.
In one of my previous games I got the radioactive bar. In my other games it was the mystery boxes, so I guess it's the luck of the draw?

On a side note: I got Qi's Crops again, and this time with 27 days. (Well, 28, but I only checked on Tuesday.) It's winter, so I'm going to try again. This time it won't take space from my normal crops, and I have nothing else to farm anyway.
I really enjoy this one - even though it was frustrating to be only 3 fruits short last time, I still had a blast. And I have 6 days longer now, so fingers crossed!

Ah, I see... That might be the solution, I usually get the stump repaired long before having shipped every possible item. But 5 Mystery boxes aren't that bad at all, too. Ty. 🙋🏻
