Technical Question

I'm running the latest Stardew update on a Windows 10 OS laptop. The WASD/mouse combo is terrible- I usually play on Android. I understand Xbox controllers might work, could I use a wired one or do I have to pay up the big dollars for a wireless one? Or is there another controller that will work?
thanks :)

The game isn't going to check to see if your controller is wired or wireless, I assure you. As far as style of controller, I don't know what works/doesn't.

Can confirm wired Xbox controller works. I normally use WASD since I'm so used to it at this point, but I used a 360 controller to do split screen co-op.

I play on a laptop without mouse and switched WASD for the arrow keys.
X and C are for using tools. I very rarely have to click somewhere (planning works better with clicking, and the slingshot).

But controllers should work, too.

I found myself reaching for my arrow keys to move yesterday, maybe that's an idea I'll try, too
