What is a fast way to get fishing level from 8 to 10?

I don’t really fish but I want to get the fishing level to ten for just maxing out my stats, is there some fast way to increase it? I’d prefer a quicker way if anyone knows. For clarification I want to know if there’s a specific place that’s good for fishing exp or a fish I should try and get for extra exp or something. Also I’m new here so if anyone could explain the “planter” or “helper” thing to me that would be great!

Usually the harder the fish the higher the xp, so things like scorpion carp, pufferfish, catfish, super cucumber etc.
I think almost every area has at least one "special" fish. I'd say just fish wherever you want. I was able to reach level 10 before my first summer on a couple saves

The "Planter" and "Helper" titles (and all the other ones available) are explained in this post here:

Edit: And there are other staff roles out there like Helper (I think?), Moderator, Creator & Developer, Administrator

Just fish. I find the Mountain Lake is quite good for easy to catch but good XP fish. If you have Lobster Bisque recipe that's one of the easiest and best for a boost to quality while you level up. Use crab pots at the beach which also gives XP and use a bait maker to get lobster bait. Eat your Sea Jelly or River Jelly if you have nothing left food wise. You don't need a lot of them for crafting a few smokers and when you fish a lot you get more of them than Cave Jelly.

Building a fish Pond and solve their Quests? Sturgeon or Lava Eel or crabs, maybe Salmon? Go for some harder fish like Void Salmon, Lava Eel, Catfish, Ice Pip, Goby or even Woodskip... With some buffering it should be possible.
Reading "Bait and Bobber", but you'll need a few of them. Sometimes the Travellers Cart sells them nearly endlessly... Joining the fishing Festivals.

Fish ponds. With the fish that are more difficult to catch, you gain a fair amount of fishing exp every time you collect produce from the pond, depending on what it produces.

If you haven't caught any of them already, try to catch the 5 legendary fishes. The easiest of them, the Angler, gives 30 fishing exp every time you collect its roe from a fish pond.

Try to get all the prizes from the Trout Derby and SquidFest.
