Because wolves bring back meat for half-grown cubs in their stomach and throw it up for them, and dogs often do the same if they go feral. To wolves and dogs vomit = puppy food. They haven't developed the "gut" response of vomit = they-ate-bad-food-avoid, which is what we humans have.It’s so gross when dogs eat their own vomit, idk know why they do it
