your character does NOT suck!!
I find that your character is extremely unique, artistic and talented, and nevermind power-ups that make you fly manually, your character has the rarest power-up of them all: humanity!

they should have really given some character creation options!!
i get that some people like randomizing their character and just going with it, but that shouldn't be the only option!!!
and the character options aren't just cosmetic either, they actually have a ton of impact on the gameplay...
the only way you change certain things is by paying a ton of money! stuff like the ability to change your gender did NOT need to be locked behind so much money and rng...

they should've just taken a page out of stardew valley's book and made it so you can just use like, a magic shrine thingy for really cheap!!

I hate to break it to you but while they claim the tutorial ends at 18 and many people totally take that at face value, if you really like playing the game as an open-world RPG, the tutorial is ongoing. Set your a waypoint to a library and explore until you find the nonfiction powerups to see how much scope the devs included. Worse yet, choose the rare questline: Scientific Library. Yeah one look in there convinces you that the tutorial only ends with complete depletion of all your HP and stamina. Best side quests I've found so far are critical thinking and scientific skepticism. I should never have skipped the personal finance one but oh well, and I ended up scrounging up enough journal scraps to kinda piece together most of that story.
