Alright, NOW I've had sleep and can discuss my advice. 2d games, specifically ones made of sprites, not models are easiest to make, and probably also the quickest. I don't have any clue to what genre of game you should do, you'd have to look elsewhere for that. Let me think some more, take the counsel of others here.
