Hi, I am a new Stardew Valley fan!

I've heard of this game for a long time, but only very recently I have actually have played it.

Since about early 2025, I have been looking into games with construction aspects. I have already played games like this in the past (before 2025), but construction was generally not the main focus of the game. For example, Age of Empires, in which while you can construct things, the main focus is to roleplay real-life historical wars.

In early 2025 I have played a game called Sengoku Dynasty, but this game is still rather incomplete. I have also played its sister game Medieval Dynasty, this game is similar to Stardew Valley in some aspects, but it is not cozy and does not have cute aesthetics like Stardew Valley has.

Looking for other construction type games, I have been seeking recommendations from my friends, talking about both Sengoku Dynasty and Medieval Dynasty as examples. My friends recommended me to play Stardew Valley, and I said I was going to eventually look into it. However, I only had the opportunity to actually purchase this game (on Steam) in Christmas 2025. It was on my wishlist for months prior to that, however. I also purchased other games alongside it, and played them prior to even touching Stardew Valley, but those games were disappointing, I even refunded some of them due to how bad they were.

Then I started to play Stardew Valley, at the early days of 2026 and... Oh my gosh. This game... This game is an absolute masterpiece, on par with Mona Lisa. What a fantastic, impeccable, amazing game. It has been a long time since I have felt this sensation of playing a wonderful game. I got "addicted" to it, have been playing it for hours and days. At first I had a slow start on the game, but as I played and improved my in-game skills (such as mining and farming) the game just got better and better. It even inspired me to create my own game (a plan I have had for a long time, but I had no idea where to start, but thanks to Stardew Valley I now know where to start, I plan to be a game creator myself someday just like ConcernedApe).

Stardew Valley is already one of my favorite games of all time. I can't wait for future updates of this game. One of the reasons why I created an account there was to suggest some features.

I am from Brazil, and other than Stardew Valley, some of my favorite games include:

  • Lego Island
  • Age of Empires (all games of the series, and their definitive editions, excluding AoE IV which I haven't played, but including the spin-off Age of Mythology)
  • Tomb Raider (the first five games, from the classic Core Design era)
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • Jade Empire
  • OMORI
  • Sengoku Dynasty
  • Pokémon (most games of the franchise, my favorite in particular is Pokémon Emerald)

    * actually one of the reasons I like Stardew Valley so much is that the graphics heavily resemble Pokémon

Hello. I've also thought it was a work of art as well as a game. It has inspired me to want to create a game too but the more you look at it the more you can see how much work has gone into it. The Haunted Chocolatier game will be a masterpiece too probably.

Welcome here, hope you enjoy it. I purchased the game around end of 2024 and cannot stop since then... Every playthrough you'll find something new to explore or do things differently, still very entertaining. 🥰

Welcome to the forums! I also love Pokemon although my favourite game is probably Pokemon Blue. I've been playing for much longer probably 4-5 years now.

I started playing near the end of 1.4 in 2020. Was a horrible time, that 1.4. No movable shipping bins. No ginger. No summer squash. No moss. 1.7 will be my third update.

Pokemon emerald is one of the best ones, I prefer some of the newer ones, but hoenn is amazing, and the middle ones like emerald and platinum are always better then the other two like ruby and sapphire. Also go team sky

Pokemon Platinum is awesome. I prefer it over B&W tbh. People glaze B&W too much. Fire Red is nice too but Emerald is better for the gba experience. Rom hacks however blow any mainline game out the water.
