1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

I planted some more coffee seeds, sold some mayonnaise and made my house look a little better

Mayonnaise sells for peanuts tho....... Well even a 1000G is a lot of money early game. I never bother with decorations at that early point lmfaoo. I'm constantly broke anyways.

I did WAY too much. I think i doubled or tripled my playtime. Can't explain it all but I got two fully upgraded sheds full of kegs. Too much oak resin. All the golden walnuts. Horse flute. Key to the Town. Iridium axe and pickaxe. Bunch iridium laying around. Completed the volcano dungeon. Finally got around to setting up a rabbit coop with all rabbits. Finally got a trash hat. Got the retro catalogue. Don't have another obesilik yet due to spending all my money on the damn parrot. Got a bunch of hearts with a bunch of people. Reached level 10 fishing. Caught the angeler. A bunch more that I don't remember lmfaoo. Also completed the first racoon family quest finally.

Completed the Qi fruit quest on the last day possible, and got 4 candles burning on Grandfather's grave. Completed the Qi quest of 50 loved gifts too. The first banana tree is up and producing, so soon I'll be able to make the island obelisk. Sandy's the only "villager" left to befriend. I did get her to 7 hearts and got her recipe, so it shouldn't take long after I start to focus more on the Skull Cavern. Island farm returned to grow starfruits, and now with 4 iridium sprinklers instead of 2. 9 golden walnuts left to find, including those that I'll pay the Joja parrot for.

I've realized I made an oopsie. In my effort to complete the Qi quest, I forgot to make strawberry seeds before Spring began. Drat.

Leah's still not ready to adopt, but now that Winter's over, I can do her 14-heart event.

Did you buy the rarecrow too, either this time or the first time? If you gather all 8, you get the recipe for a better scarecrow with twice the radius of its protected area.

Now I just need to bring my hoard of cinder shards to the volcano and trade 100 of them for the cinderclown shoes. Annoying sound if using earbuds (my sound isn't set high enough for it to be a bother otherwise), but the improvement over the space boots makes me put up with it.

If you tailor your boots to have the stats of cinderclown shoes and the appearance of another pair, does the sound then disappear?

I don't know. Haven't bothered to try, since the only time I need to use earbuds is when I'm sneaking game time at work, or when I'm otherwise around others. I rarely even bother to start up my phone when I've got company. It probably would solve the sound, but then I wouldn't have a constant reminder that I'm in a situation when I shouldn't be playing. It's too easy for me to slip into the "just one more day".

That "one more day" happened yesterday too. Sat down to play a couple of days around 10 pm. Before I knew it, it was past 3 am, only stopping because my phone complained about low battery.

My don't leave the farm challenge is going quite well. I unlocked the farm cave on Demetrius' birthday, which is a funny coincidence. I'm at foraging level 8. Currently I focus on filling the standard farm with trees for foraging xp and future hardwood.

I picked up the Qi quest to gather 4 prismatic shards, to make use of my mystic stones. Used the 120 gems I had to buy 3 galaxy souls, in preparation for the Desert Festival. Two days and two reloads to just pick the stones with prismatic shards, all that's left for the Qi quest is to hand them in, with 2 mystic stones left in the quarry. Sure, I could've picked Danger in the Deep, but I think it would've been too stressful with just 4 days to do it in and not nearly enough staircases.

Also finally got the special request to gather leeks for George. Could've had almost 100 more coffee in my fridge if I hadn't had to wait a year. *tries to whack special board with axe* *fails to make even a dent*

Cellar has so far only seen use as a room for aging cheese, but that will change in the near future. I've been lax in planting and chopping down trees.

I’ve only got three stacks on TWO runs… out of hundreds at least, probably over a thousand attempts.

I have entire notebook filled with the stats of each run, how quickly I descend each 100 floors, time of each full stack collected, amount of prizzys, etc.

For every tick (10 min) the most floors I can manage is ~20, so ~120 an hour at best.

That sounds about the same as me. My floor record is 2250, and there's 20 hours in a day, so it's real close to that.

I also have hundreds of animals and 6,666 crystalariums slowing stuff down. S sounds like a fair battle to me, let’s see what you got!

I also have really bad stick drift which constantly messes me up.

I just tried again, (my 4th attempt, total) and got a bit over 2600. I noticed you use Slingshot, which may be the key, but I tried using it and had a tough time. I'm not giving up quite yet though :D

Finally got around to achieving something I wanted since before I started this file: Making an Amphibia-themed fish tank, with a green, blue, brown, and red from in it and some items that make me think of it.

I've decided I'm going to date every npc I get my hands on. Break some hearts.

I ate Penny's horrible dish. Said I loved it cause I'm not a monster (A lie. My farmer is a monster-)

Danced with Robin's husband. If I had a nickle for everytime I had this happen, I'd have two nickles-

Made Pierre and Morris fight for my amusement. It was great.

Me and the local valley children stared at this ugly weed.

Then I met the woman of my dreams, the mermaid. I played the song of her people and she waved at me. I love her. ;-;

As soon as I read 'Schala', I knew that a Chrono Trigger reference was coming. Schala's Theme is probably one of my favorite track from the soundtrack. How is named the son of your farmer?

Around the Egg Festival, I dug up the tie dye shirt at the dig site from a random artifact spot.

Completed Qi's Cuisine in one day with only homegrown, fished, and foraged stuff. The amount of mussels I'd gathered on Ginger Island made a huge difference.

Spent 3 million G and 45 iridium bars (and various other stuff) on getting all 4 obelisks in one go. Less than half of my fortune left. Had been thinking about maybe saving up for the gold clock before getting them, but decided against it. Then realized I had to move my Fall crop chest out of the shadow of the obelisks and accidentally went to Ginger Island 3 times before I managed to get it out of there. The first visit I went and got the Qi quest Danger in the Deep.

Went with about 40 artifact troves to Clint and managed to get both the last artifact and the last book I needed. Hadn't got anything worthwhile when I'd had just a few, so I decided to do it thoroughly. Well, got two of that book, so I was fortunate that the bookseller was in town that day and brought in the extra plus some other books I'd found.

I made it to floor 400! I got a good luck day during the desert festival and I had a big pile of staircases because I haven't been skull cavern diving in a while. I've never made it this far!!!

(I'm playing modded btw - I don't know if any of the mods I'm using effect egg rating. None of them influence staircase clicking speed, tho!)

I got another auto-petter that I had been wanting for a while - only my second this save (my dinos should be happier now), as well as enough prismatic shards to finish Qi's quest that I also had active. Just diving straight down the whole day, only stopping to click easily accessible calico cat statues, no blowing up anything, was a challenge in self control and definitely a first for me. It was fun, though!
