1.6 Update What is the biggest fun for you to start a new save?

I am not sure if this topic has been discussed.

I am notified by my friend that the Nintendo Switch2 version is released officially.
It is a little strange the Switch2 new version isn't released with 1.7 package.

I am going to start my 3rd save on Switch2.

I know it is a little tough because no MODs or add-in on video game consoles.

My plan is to choose a new farmhouse layout and get married with a new girl.

Additionally, I am not going to finish community bundles in this save file, I will donate some money to support Joja's commercial activities.

In the meantime, making casks will not be the first option for me to get more money.
Making casks will be restrained more or less in my latest save file.
We all know it can be the fastest way to earn money but the process is bland and dull.

The ultimate goal to play this game is what?
Obviously it is to reach a perfection.
But I prefer enjoying the game rather than pursing perfection.

Finally, I love fishing in this game.
I think fishing is another way of meditation in real life.
You can empty your mind to enjoy the process of fishing and harvest various fishes.
It is a pure meditation.
Holding your rod, looking at the peaceful river and wait silently.

I am definitely always looking forward to a different gf.

I like making silly goals, especially preposterous ones that will be difficult to fulfill. I really need to come up with a new one, as I'm running out of things to do with the "preposterous number of rabbits" farm.

By the way, back to something OP said - um, no one is expecting 1.7 to drop for a few more years. Dev is still working on an entire other game, so we'll probably see that come out before another SDV update. And at the moment it looks like the team is trying to iron out bugs that came with the Switch 2 release (yep, the crafting bug got me too).

I love befriending my kitty all over again, and getting the "your kitty loves you" message. Also convincing Shane to trust me. Slowly discovering all the museum minerals. Jas being all shy with me at first. The first terrifying run in skull cavern when I'm still nowhere near leveled up enough to be there. I need to stop now before I talk myself into starting a new save.

disappointing myself with yet another lame farm design

...and everything else!

I have a thing with games that after a while I start to long for the early-game struggles. Like getting the tools from poor to good, raising friendship and romantic relationships, having too little money for what I want to do rather than having so much money that I don't really have anything to spend it on. In SDV, the allure of a new game is increased by the prospect of trying out a different farm map that will force me to do things differently from last time. Even if some things are the same, it's a question of "where should I put the barn/coop/sheds/etc". It's also a huge plus that very few of the singles are too (whatever) for me, so I can go for a different spouse too.

At first when playing a game like this I also tend to start over if I realize I could've done a lot better if I'd done things differently, even if I know there are very few decisions that can't be remedied with time and money (or other resources). To reduce the amount of such restarts, I read up on the game either before or soon after I've started playing.
