What characters do you usually tend to befriend first?

Linus is usually among the first person that I befriend first. On the way to the mines, and fishing at the Mountain Lake during Spring, when it wasn't raining. Emily and Abigail tend to get extra gems that the farmer gets from the mines or through fishing. I tend to get Caroline up to two hearts ASAP for the tea sapling recipe, I was wondering who you guys prioritized, and when.

basically anyone who's really easy to run into while on other business, has a loved gift that's easy to stockpile, or who fulfills a high priority objective; i.e. related to the Community Center or Year 1 Flower Dance. Or if they're strategically identical to someone who fits any of those categories (i.e. Maru has the same home and same loved item as Demetrius and their birthdays are close together, so I'll work on them at the same time).

so in Spring 1 that's Caroline, Pam, Emily, and Haley as top priority, with Clint and Linus as secondary priority (because they're on the way). Demetrius joins them once I have strawberries for him

Basically the order of friendship pursuit largely depends on when their loved gifts are "in season". But if someone's a powerful enough potential ally I'll try to force the issue early regardless.

I should probably prioritize friending people more, but I kinda just make sure to talk to everyone and let it happen naturally. That’s usually something I focus on once the farm is established and it’s easier to gift. Besides, mostly everybody is so rude at first No wonder Linus is weary of strangers.

Caroline because Farmer Bobbi really wants her to have all the pretty Daffodils and she really wants Bobbi to have Tea Saplings on her farm and take tea with her and maybe or maybe not hallucinate strange things while teataking.

Also for 250g/Tea Sapling which is made from cheap, easily accessible and farmed items, but that's really super not a coincidental side effect and never something Bobbi would totally and completely abuse to get more g in early game.

Usually Linus, Jodi, George and Shane. All of them are kinda easy. And I love the thought that these four are the "inner circle" of my character.

Usually whoever has the nicest schedule, Emily/Gus are great because they're always at the saloon, pierre/robin/clint almost always at their stores, etc.

And whoever goes to large gatherings, like the tuesday exercise sessions and saturday saloon nights. Makes for an easy gifting spree
