Can somebody please explain what "perfection is"

Perfection includes several different tasks (like cooking every food, shipping every item, crafting everything, etc.). You will eventually find a complete list in an area after fixing up the community center or finishing the Joja warehouse. You'll eventually get there! However, if you don't mind spoilers, here's a link to a page that goes in detail of what you gotta do. https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Perfection

Perfection is not something that comes easily. It might be a good idea to try to understand this game on your first playthrough. Once you have sufficient understanding of the game, only then can you plan to achieve perfection. As a bit of advice, cooking all the ingredients in the game can be a bit of a hassle. Therefore, make sure you prepare all the ingredients needed and don't run out of ingredients and have to wait until the next season.

I think good advice year 2 would be to get some pigs. Ancient fruit is never a bad call for the green house use the seed maker to make more of it. Once you have them pigs and a good bit of ancient fruit to put into kegs you shouldn't worry to much about money although you do need a lot for true perfection golden clock is $$ alot . If you can scale the pigs up to a few barns and a good crop of ancient fruit you'll have nothing to worry about though.. If you want true perfection make sure you tune into queen of sauce on wed and sun it is the only way to get certain recipes ... Grow a little bit of everything keep a little bit of everything good luck :)

Good year 2 advice is to complete either the CC or the Joja community form thing. After that focus on any other quests you want to do. I typically try to get all my friendships up in year 2 and try to get married for the stardrop.

Joja forum is very easy to complete by Y2. idk why anyone would wait till Y3. I hate marriage smh but I agree friendship is important in Y2 but you can set it aside for Y3.

I speedrun marriage lol l. I’m trying not to do that in my current save so I won’t feel guilty about leaving my spouse for GI.

Old post, but since it's been revived anyway, and this particular point was never covered, some people also refer to grandpa's evaluation as 'perfection' as it rewards the player (if you score 12 or more out of 21 maximum points) the 'statue of perfection'.

Just keep it in mind if you're ever getting mixed definitions from people, might also help yourself out by calling 100% 'true perfection' as it rewards the player with the statue of true perfection in game.
