This does have the side effect of needing to be done in 1.6 which is going to be pretty brutal (if done in 1.5 I can utilize a glitch on mobile to make the building placements a little more enjoyable), though it's definitely needed if I want to keep playing 1.6. I've been putting it off for so long and I'm excited to play more of the update and test for some of the previous update's performance issues that I was struggling with in 1.5.

Actually all of the playtime so far has been in 1.5, so no, I haven't as the desert fest isn't really around

This is pretty accurate too, I pick up a couple things some years when I remember (I got a chest of lawn flamingoes from the desert fest yearly for a while), but never really thought about the desert cactuses. I might do a few just for fun, would be fun to have a big chest full of them at least, but I'm not going for the whatever thousands of permutations that exist.
