those sorts of quests are two-parters: Procurement and Delivery.
the 80 you give her can be any 80 pieces you might already have and they will satisfy the "delivered" bar. but the "collected" bar can only be filled up by new pieces of hardwood you chop up after the point you accepted the quest.
[if you go to the secret woods literally all 7 days of the week there's just enough daily regenerating stumps for you to chop 84 hardwood in time. but there's no margin for error if you have to rely solely on them.]

Have since learned the hard way to intentionally leave some mahogany trees standing to "bank" some hardwood to only chop down after that quest becomes active.

I usually don't bother with making my farm aesthetically pleasing, sticking to the mentality that 'I'm a Farmer.... this land is for dirty veggies and animal products I hoard for making food and sell when desperate for money!' but for my current play through that is filled with mods to cheat my days away, I have so much more time. To be clear I tried hard for this! Kinda.... I just wanted it to be more than just dirt... XD

I haven't played a modded game so far, but I red about that one, where you can have more than one spouse at the same time. Forgive my curiosity, but how does that work? Your house must be quite large, when they all come with their own room... And is it possible to replace their outside area in general or is this a mod thing, too?

So I upgraded my house to the furthest extent before marriage as that is personal preference.Fascinating... And sooo cute
I haven't played a modded game so far, but I red about that one, where you can have more than one spouse at the same time. Forgive my curiosity, but how does that work? So yes it is, but as you can see it added the rooms beside each other just off of my bedroom. And yes I plan on marrying all my favorite bachelors! At least this way my head cannon relationships between them can happen, as with this mod they love not just me but each other. Smooches for everyone!!!!
And for their spouse patios that is a separate mod as well!

Picked up the Qi fruit quest at the beginning of Spring. Let's see if I make it. I may have taken too much time out to participate in festivals to succeed, but I've got a week left and about 350 fruits to ship, with 7 iridium sprinklers' worth growing, some of it on quality speed-gro, cutting a day from the growth cycle.
Built the last obelisk on the farm (apart from the mini obelisks), got the final artifact for the museum, and shipped the last few items. I guess it's time to turn my focus to the remaining fish, and seeing what's left to get the polyculture and monoculture achievements.
Did get a fair few mummies and serpents during the desert festival, but not enough to reach the goal for either.
Sebastian said we should get a slime hutch and hatch a bunch of slimes. I'm vetoing it. Riverland is a bit short on space. First child is a toddler, but so far no request of getting a second child.
