It is tiring to report them all lol.
I mean yeah there's no real way to stop them. All the mods can do is remove them and all we can do is report them. No way to stop them from the root. Because if the mods set up like a manual authentication system for each post the forum is gonna turn into a wasteland. It's obnoxious but there is nothing we can do to quote Napoleon.
It seemed something like that was active around a year ago and there were like 2 new forum members joining a week because something seemed to be up with the initial account confirmation step. People on the SDV subreddit were complaining they couldn't register here and it was obvious that we were getting a tiny fraction of the usual rate of new members. It did keep the spam out of course but it looks like that system didn't quite work as intended.
Those kinda systems don't work as intended most of the time. I personally would not bother posting as much as I do if I had to wait for my submission to be viewed by a mod. The spam isn't worth losing new members and activity. I mean there's the mods and helpers like you to keep the spam out.
I wouldn't mind doing that i just was in school when all of that was posted
I'm on break but otherwise I would be in school as well.
Companies hire people to spam with bots. Not really beneficial to there image but if it works I guess.
