Can Harvey change his eye color at will or something? Every portrait besides his blushing ones clearly has brown eyes.

If you make some npc mad, their eyes color are also changing (like penny, abigail) So I guess in this game there's no real eye color.

Maybe it's just that the left picture is more black than brown, and the eye color is sort of shielded by the glasses, so when he opens them up wider, you can see they're green.

It makes a little bit of sense for the eyes to be more red when they're mad, but the green seems to have no real reason.

Hmmm, his hair is slightly different between the 2 pics, and his Flustered look also has that same hair variation and the blue eyes:

He clearly wears ChromaFlair contact lenses behind his glasses (!) which, when hit by errant rays from the sun, filtered through flyaway hair and off his blushing cheeks, combines to change the apparent color of his eyes.

This is why you never see him in the Mines or the Hidden Forest, the colorful Slimes have mastered ChromaFlair-- they know Harvey's tell and just when to pounce on him. Which is why he's always so careful to let you know to stay safe.

I think like this too! I think That he really opens his eyes only on those portraits so most of the time they aren't fuly open so we don't see the true color!
