Hey everyone! @PorkChop here again! Just got an idea. Not that big but maybe you can have more then 1 animal like a dog. Like 3 dogs or something. Nothing big, but an idea...
I endorse this message!

Anything that improves or adds interaction to the game is aces. New crops and stuff are neat, but new mechanics--like pets playing with each other, kids running around on the farm, (ahem) horse-drawn plough, new events--are really the things that give this game staying power. We all have different things we especially like, and things we're indifferent to, but I think ALL fans of Stardew are in love with the relationships--both to the valley and farm, and to the NPCs--that make the game special. :)

So yes, by Gar! Let's have multi-pet households! Let the dogs herd sheep, and frolic together. :)

I think some people already suggested it. But yeah, why not. Being able to have everything in collection is good.

yes yes and yes!!! There's many things to do in SDV already and many ways to play, but adding these new things will defo give it longevity. To be honest, I also wondered why there weren't draft horses for ploughing to make things faster. Or at least the riding horse could be used in that way as well. There is a tractor mod, but for people playing on consoles I think adding the plough would be a nice addition, as well as a couple of other quality of life things, but that's for another thread 😂

But anyway, back on point with the pets, most people I know that had farms/barns IRL also had multiple cats to catch mice or multiple farm dogs to keep foxes out of the coop/herd the sheep, so realistically it makes sense to have more than one doggo/cat. Maybe the dogs could herd the animals in at night so none get left out and the cats can decrease the chance of foxes snatching chickens up (or something along those lines. I'm just throwing ideas out there lol).

Well and again, even not being on a console... tractors seem pretty Joja-esque to me. Plough fits in better. :)

And I was just thinking: if you want your animals to help out, an off-the-wall fun thing might be getting a cormorant fishing-buddy. 😁

Yeas to everything! I own cats IRL but often pick the dogs because I feel like every good farm needs a dog. Of course, many farms have both. I could see cats in the barn to keep rodents at bay. Plus, I fully endorse a horse-drawn plow- especially if I can purchase a new draft horse. Two horses, multiple pets and kids racing around outside, what’s not to love
