Tips for JOTPK

- go for money, and when you buy items, buy the right-most item you can (so always go for bullet upgrades first, if you can't afford it, go for the gun upgrade, and if you can't afford that, go for the boots)
- shoot in the direction you're going when reaching for items close to spawn points
- avoid bombs and tombstones if you can, leave them for emergencies, because they can despawn items/money
sometimes it's RNG and luck, you'll have good runs and you'll have bad runs and you'll die very, very, very much. but you can do it!

Never buy boots unless it's the only thing you can afford and it's late game, level 1 you can camp in a corner and shoot diagonally the whole time, but it reduces coin intake, A sheriff badge is the best item for the inventory in an emergency, shotgun is worthless and should never be risked unless the field is crowded with enemies, same goes for coffee, ALWAYS get an extra life if it's dropped, and you can save and load right before playing JOTPK, so every time you get ready to resume play, make a backup and revert to it if things go bad. Maybe make several as you progress.

I have another: Level 1 and 4, go to a corner and shoot diagonally. It decreases coin intake in Level 1, but on Level 4, this happens:
I got an extra life after, and 2 Sheriff badges. You should avoid using nukes in this strategy because it will deplete coin intake and remove any chance of power ups, so don't even pick one up in this level.

Corner strategy works well early on but really gets overwhelmed later into the game, especially when some of the maps really restrict where you can run away to from the corners.
Helpful for world 1 though, though it isn't exactly the most exciting

I agree there, Worlds 2 & 3 have enemies like Butterflies to swarm you from all sides. But useful for W1, certainly.

Yeah if you just want to get into playing the minigame it's a fair enough option, you'll only get better as you play

Now I'm in need of help: what do I do on the level right before Fector?
honestly it's going to be a really hard time unless you're fast enough and have at least a couple of the bullet upgrades. those gargoyles are the actual WORST
try to stay in the middle as much as you can, use the shotgun and the wheel when you see them and honestly don't be afraid to use nukes and tombstones because you're already past the last shop. aim for the gargoyles before the mummies, the gargoyles are the trouble makers. the mummies are slow so you can pick them off and group them together

The issue being I also have no power ups, and I'm on my last life. I'll take that into consideration, but in the end, I'm at the mercy of RNG.
P.S. Please don't mistake my frustration for rudeness, I'm just so close, and so far.

I beat JOTPK! I reset after I had 0 lives at the penultimate level, and got like 8 lives, and the best RNG ever, until I got to Fector with a machine gun in my inventory, and I took out all his HP in his first attack! I'd like to thank @Magically Clueless, as her advice helped a ton. Now I'm a do it again, in hardmode!
