iOS Character freezes while fighting

When I’m fighting sometimes I will freeze up. It only happens if I’m walking left or right. Some other aspects of the game continue, the monster I’m fighting will keep attacking me, I will eventually die and end up at Harvey’s. But even then I’m still frozen. some days I can fight all day in the mines or skull cavern and it’s fine, others I freeze. This never used to happen I don’t know what’s different.

This problem is getting worse. I just froze while walking on my farm on Ginger island. I was weeding not fighting this time.

Me and my gf are also having this problem, we just started the game and just made a world. We started to clear off our farm and she gets froze and nothing will work. It’s happened every time.

One temporary solution you can use is to drop an item into the frozen character's inventory, and they'll be able to move again. Another, more permanent method to prevent multiplayer characters from freezing is to enable the analog and buttons option within the game, which makes the player move with the joystick. Some players have reported the issue going away after switching to that option.
