agreedTheres so many options!
i very much agreeHonestly I think a series of short animated films would suit the game much better, and fit the game as it is, where we see snippets of characters.
I'd imagine them to be something like 3-7 minutes and it just follows a single character, either as they go about their day and we learn more about their habits, or it could be a backstory/their life prior to the valley, etc.
I think it'd be a really nice way for CA to give some more in-depth character building and canon lore without bloating the game, and it allows him to more subtly add onto what we already know
that would be funnyI think there would be a lot of potential to poke a little bit of fun at the 'video game logic' in a movie, like watching the farmer drink a jar of mayo, or not having room to put a geode in your pocket but still being able to collect 937 stones.
cool, you know my neighbor totoro? I've watched that a thousand times loli think for a movie, i'd enjoy a classic farmer story, but the farmer would have to be a specific character (kind of like what the animal crossing movie did-- and yes, there is an animal crossing movie, and it's super charming i really love it)
i think a slow paced movie kinda like my neighbor totoro would really fit stardew, so it's someone adjusting moving in and maybe they get close to a few characters, maybe the climax of the movie would be something like the fall festival where it's a really big fair and there's lots of people around
i'm sure people would want to see their favorites so that's where some apprehension comes in, but i think there are opportunities for many stories and really for a movie to be done right, they can't focus on all 12 bachelor/ettes and a handful of other villagers
