Year 1 Day 1 of Fall - The pomegranate fruit tree that I was growing for the community centre bundle was struck by lightning now gives me coal
Obviously this is just anecdotal, but I haven't seen this happen. So it's seems significantly more rare than something like a meteor, or maybe I'm just "unlucky".Oh, and that's not that rare.
Really? I had 2 trees hit in my first save before year 3 (had 2 of each by then), which is when I moved all my future fruit trees into the greenhouse out of frustration. I also built about 24 lightning rods over the span of a couple days after the second hit (already had 8). Maybe I'm just unlucky? I mean, I have 24 lightning rods by the end of year 1 in every save since.Obviously this is just anecdotal, but I haven't seen this happen. Well, I have over 3,400 hours logged for Stardew Valley according to Steam, and I have yet to get the coal tree. Of course, I only ever plant one of each, so that probably has something to do with it ;)It does for a few days, then will be back to producing fruit for you. Oh, and that's not that rare.
I'm sure it's a combination of things. As the number of trees goes up, the chances goes up for one to be targeted by lightning... but as the number of lightning rods goes up, the number of lightning strikes are intercepted.Of course, I only ever plant one of each, so that probably has something to do with it ;)
It is pretty rare, at least for me. Over 100 hours clocked into the game, 5 different save files, I’ve never gotten one.It does for a few days, then will be back to producing fruit for you. Oh, and that's not that rare.
Lol, thanks for that as I needed my brain rattled around a bit in it's container. I have about 300 hours in-game and of course I've never seen a coal tree.Well, I have over 3,400 hours logged for Stardew Valley according to Steam, and I have yet to get the coal tree.
