So, my farmer is meandering through town, trying to track down Sam and Sebastian, when she realizes she hasn’t chatted with Harvey in a while. She steps onto the clinic and spots her good friend Abby. She heads over to say hi and Abby blurts out, “I’m just here for my annual checkup. I’m not preg- I’m not sick.”

Well, I clutched my pearls and headed for the nearest couch- the scandal! But I wonder, has anyone else ever heard Abigail say that? Am I so desperate for stimulation during lock down that I’m imagining dialogue for the NPCs?

Meanwhile, my farmer is going to have a serious conversation with her boys, Sam and Sebastian. If there’s fun to be had, she wants in.

It'd be more fun to be married to Haley, then do Emily's 10 heart event after tying the knot. Image coming home to the farm, it's 6am, and Haley *KNOWS* you didn't come home last night. So, out of sheer evilness, you tell her that you and her sister Emily went "camping" last night and shared the same sleeping bag. As she turns red from pure, primal anger, you tell her you got her a parting gift: a Prismatic Shard, which you know she hates with a passion for some reason. One can only imagine what happens next, I just hope the farmer didn't keep their weapon collection in the farm house somewhere...

Aww, Haley gets the short end of the stick in SDV just because she fits an archetype we've all had to deal with IRL on multiple occasions. Now that I finally married Maru in our MP save, I think I'm going to have to marry Haley when 1.5 comes out just to see if it's worth it. However if it's really all about the hair, I've at least gotta give Elliot a fair chance.

I’m actually quite fond of Alex and Haley. The farmer from my original post is torn between Sam and Alex, or was. But now she’s team Alex and Abby. Just picture the TLC level drama:

Seb: I can’t believe you’re dating someone, Abby, and never told me.
Abby: it stared out as more of a physical thing. But as I got to know him I realized how much more there is to him then just being gorgeous.
Seb: Oh my Yoba, please tell me it’s not...
Abby: it’s Alex.
Seb: seriously! that dumb jock who was so mean to us in high school!?
Abby: Hey, none of us are the same people we were in high school. Plus, he’s really hot.

Haley:
Alex: I know I should have told you but it was just fun at first
Haley:(rolls eyes)
Alex: and then when we hadn’t told anyone for so long it was harder and harder to say anything...
Haley: (stomps her foot)
Alex: and I know this is a shock but I really love her and...
Haley: You are my only friend in this town and you didn’t even tell me you were in love with someone.
Alex: (opens mouth to speak)
Haley: DO NOT EVEN TALK RIGHT NOW!!

Obviously, everyone is shocked and upset by the news, except for Evelyn and George who are overjoyed to meet their great- grandchild. After little Mona is born, George is frequently seen with the colicky infant strapped to his chest, rolling through town. Alex and Abby end up naming their second daughter Georgia in his honor. George’s knowledge of the mines helps Abby become an expert explorer. Haley uses social media savvy to find clients for Abby’s guided cave diving tours. Harvey’s so impressed with Haley’s work, he hires her to increase his business. And while almost everyone is surprised when they quietly marry a few months later, no one is surprised when Haley is elected mayor. Before long, she’s managed to increase tourism while still keeping Pelican Town’s charm. Alex throws himself into his role as stay-at-home dad, relishing the chance to be the kind of father he never had. My farmer decides to build them house in the mountains close to Abby’s work and close to her. She adores those girls!

TL;DR- Alex and Abby are a couple. It’s head canon, y’all.

Ooh, good question. I never really gave that a second thought before, but who could be the father, if she was pregnant? I'm assuming for the sake of my own feelings that it wouldn't be Sebastian, or at least not after I started getting closer to him. She doesn't seem particularly close with Sam in that way either. Alex is an interesting candidate, and... almost probable, depending on what perspective you look at it. I'm choosing to assume she was trying to tell a joke, then realized it was bad mid-sentence. I've done that a couple of times.

sebastian is the person she's paired with, but when you start playing the game it's more like sebastian has a crush on her but they don't really.... talk about it? like it seems very unknown, even to seb's best friend who is like "seb really wanted abigail to be part of the band for some reason" (but in fairness sam could be a little dense)

poor abby. i mean, i know plenty of people (including myself LOL) who have a 0% chance of being pregnant, literally impossible, and still get scared they're pregnant sometimes if their cycles change or just in general being worried LOL. could've been some kind of freudian(?) slip

True, I think Sebastian and Abigail seemed to have something together at one point, but I seriously doubt it got serious. She always seems very lonely so I always feel sorry for her because she’s one of my besties. I started thinking maybe she and Maru could get together...

Well.... She is my soon to be wife but we didnt have snugly snugly time yet....

Think i just discovered something here *sighs*...
