Year 6 Spring has passed on FuturePrfect Farm and Farmer Bobbi had great plans cooked up over Winter. Almost one of them actually happened. Here's how it went:

Spring 13 arrived with it's dual responsibilities: Swap out the aged Starfruit Wine for the baby Wine and ship it all out at once before the market notices it's flooded, depressing prices. Works every year! Later in the day is the Egg Hunt. This year Bobbi came up with another of her stupid ideas which she is completely unable to contain even to her family and thus must share with the town.

An Egg Hunt costume.

Why should dressing up only happen for Spirit's Eve, let's make a new Spring dressup tradition! After finding his door locked, Bobbi visited the Shrine of Illusions in Wizard's basement via the Witch's Hut because she has no respect for boundaries, arrived late to the festival and snuck over to Emily when nobody was paying attention.

"Bobbi! What are you wearing??"

"It's an Egg Hunt costume!" Bobbi said excitedly, bouncing on her heels as she always did when overexcited about a new idea she'd come up with. "Do ya like it?" If Emily could see her face, she'd have seen Bobbi's eyebrows raised so high they were attempting integration into her hairline.

"Are you a chicken? A cold chicken?" Emily was trying not to raise her voice and create a scene. Softer, "Why aren't you wearing any clothes?"

"I'm not just a chicken," Bobbi said excitedly, her voice raising in spite of itself, still bouncing off her heels. "I'm the whole nest! See?" She gestured grandly at her grass skirt and top as if revealing the latest expensive watch and tiara collection to society elites.

Emily was nonplussed for a half second before...
"Bobbi!" Emily hissed in a low voice, glancing down meaningfully. "Are those supposed to be eggs?"

Bobbi practically jumped for joy. "I'm an exploded view of a hen sitting on her eggs in a nest! Isn't it great?! Like the best costume for the Egg Hunt!"

Emily's mouth was ajar for a few seconds. It wasn't entirely inappropriate. Entirely. It almost made sense. It made Bobbi sense. Emily's shoulders slumped just a bit. It totally made Bobbi sense. Not sure what to say, she tried being supportive. "That's very creative, dear, I... wish I could have helped you with it."

"No that would have spoiled the surprise! Hee hee!" Bobbi effused but then calmed down a bit. "Hey it's nothing you don't see at the beach in summer, right?"

"Yeah I guess but sometimes things are context-dependent, dear." Emily sighed. These were just the type of shenanigans she signed up for when marrying this silly farmer, though this one somehow managed to be more unexpected than most. "I wonder what will happen next time," Emily mused aloud before even thinking to keep it inside.

"I have some great ideas for next year!" Bobbi beamed.

"I can't wait," Emily said with less emphatic encouragement than usual, though with alternate thoughts swirling in her head. Clearing those out she continued, "I assume you'll be doing the Hunt then?"

"Of course!" Bobbi replied with emphasis. "I'm not letting Abby win again!"

Emily leaned in close to Bobbi and whispered, "well just make sure she doesn't find any extra eggs this year, dear," following with a hip bump and turned around to make sure the kids hadn't eaten too many worms yet.

Bobbi had been worried maybe only a little bit about Emily's reaction so had been a touch overenthusiastic from nervous energy, but that seemed to go well enough and her mood had recovered by the end. At the start of the Hunt everyone got a good look at the silly Farmer as she decided not to say anything other than chicken clucking sounds along with the occasional giggle but as this was her version of performance art, Bobbi found very few eggs.

However she did try to intimidate Abby a bit just for fun as maybe she could stall her enough for Vincent or Jas to win.

"Stoooop coooolectiiiing myyyy egggggssss! Baaawwwwk!" ChickenBobbi called at Abby, getting in her way. "Theeeyyyy'ye all miiine, I laiiid themmm!" A slight pause. "Thief!!"

"Outta my way, you weirdo!" Abby barked. "I have a pattern which never loses, and no copying me! Your feathery butt is right in my way." She pushed Bobbi aside, continuing on her way but not before taunting over her shoulder, "And don't even think of trying to turn in any extra eggs, you won't win anyway!"

Of course Abby was right, but Bobbi was still convinced she won because she had the most fun.

Emily took no chances with the Flower Dance, letting Bobbi know that she expected a level of decorum above Bobbi's typical silliness. While she mentally acknowledged that still left quite a bit of freedom of Farmer-based expression, Bobbi knew she'd had her fun and now it was Emily's turn.

Ah, now it made sense. Time for a little sisterly rivalry, this should be good. Bobbi went over to Lewis and started a casual conversation about various random things like local businessowners staring at microwaves when they should be tending store. Surely that should be taxed more heavily, amirite? Or about the possible public locations where mythical golden statues might just be found around town. Or about the various uses of Truffle Oils. There was a point. Bobbi thought she got it across.

After spending a bit of time calming her stomach to prevent the loss of it's contents next to nature's refreshing spritz, Bobbi returned to play her part in the Flower Dance.

Hmmm, things were amiss but as Bobbi quickly closed in on Emily in her typical overeager way in the dance, maybe sidling over only just a little bit to her right to swipe that crown right off Haley's head, Emily grabbed her hand in a deft move while gracefully swishing her white gown around. And leaning over in time with the music, whispered:

"Let. the Wookiee. win."

Bobbi burst out laughing just as the dance ended with yet another tradition ruined by her guffaws, but Emily was following suit while the others looked bemused, probably wondering how the event even managed to get this far without incident with those two a part of it.
Okay, so I mean it when I say, "I have never laughed harder at a Farmer Bobbi post in my entire life."

Well played lew, well played..

In early Summer Year 6 Farmer Bobbi awoke to find herself stuck to the sheets. This time it wasn't Miss Early Riser Wife playing a prank, duct taping her into bed, setting the cabbage to simmer on the stove, closing the farmhouse windows and going out to meditate all morning. Slowly peeling them off she remembered Emily complaining a day or two ago about sweating all night and eventually found yet another fireplace she'd forgotten to put out. I really need to organize this place one day, she mused internally, but I'm having too much fun doing useless stuff instead!

She found Emily outside in her swimsuit giving the sprinklers a closeup inspection while they were running, which seemed like just the right idea on an already hot morning. Joining her but getting barely more than damp before they turned off, Emily said, "I came out here to water the crops and accidentally fall in the pond but you already prepared the water park for me, thanks!"
She kissed Bobbi and asked, "whatcha up to today?"

In her haste to find her missing wife, Bobbi had forgotten to check the TV and her Statues of Suspicious Usages which grandpop had left plans for in that weird musty cave. Dashing inside she found High Luck. Extra Ladders. Relationship thingy. Eh well, 2 outta 3 will have to do and anyway in a weird fit of pique...

Farmer Bobbi had a plan. She went back outside to tell Emily who had settled on the porch.

"But do you remember your plan?" Emily asked innocently, knowing Bobbi had the capability to follow through the most successful ideas seemed strongly influenced by silliness.

"So I'm a pirate, right?" Bobbi explained in a very non-pirate tone. "Loot and treasure and that good stuff."

"Yes dear, you've been playing a pirate for a half year now." Bemused. Where is this one gonna go, she thought to herself. "Last I remember you were digging up the entire beach in town." She paused with a pointed look to her wife. "In winter. You looked like something wrapped up in that fuzzy scarf, but not so much a pirate."

"I was experimenting!" Bobbi protested. "And nobody uses the beach in winter anyway, it was the perfect time to start digging!"

"Getting that personal house visit from Lewis forbidding you from digging in town ever again was not the highlight of my year, Miss." Emily tried to maintain her stern face but that wasn't its natural state and she soon broke into laughter.
"Oh the look on his face, it was hard work keeping my composure, you should've been there to see it!"

Bobbi laughed with Emily but was still touchy about the whole thing as she still managed to receive her personal scolding from Lewis later that day, in front of Abigail no less. Abigail wasn't a nemesis or anything but she always seems to be around... anyway. "I told him I was gonna clean it all up!" Bobbi protested again. "And I only used like one bomb, that's less than on the farm!"

"Because it didn't work," Emily interjected with the slightest hint of a smirk.

"Oh... details!" Emily always being right would be tiresome if she wasn't always so good to Bobbi. "Anyway, weather was rolling in and it ended up washing the beach nice and clean by the next day. It all worked perfectly." A pause while the mental Bobbigears turned. "And I got the cool Tie Dye shirt!" Heh, bring up clothes to shift the conversation, good one. "Which I've seen you wearing on occasion...," Bobbi finished coolly.

Emily_Beach_Grin.png
"Yes, that worked out very nicely which is why I'm encouraging this." Emily replied brightly. A long pause while the two looked at each other, a slow smile breaking over Bobbi's face as it typically did on these occasions.
Emily_Beach_Asking.png
"Soooo...?" Eyebrows raised.

A short pause. "Oh! Yes. Well, I've been thinking." A quick Bobbibreath. "Like a pirate. So where's all the other treasure go when pirates run out of beaches? Clearly they go hide it in caves and caverns and places like that." Bobbi was talking with more than her usual barrage of hand gestures and Emily had to back up a bit to protect herself. "So we have the Skull Cavern, which is clearly short for Skull and Crossbones Cavern, but that takes too long to write out because pirates probably aren't all that literate so they shortened it and there are like loads of Treasure Rooms in there!" Bobbi took a breath, barely staving off asphyxiation.

Emily_Beach_Grin.png
"How did pirates sail to Skull Cavern when there's no ocean or river around?"

"Now stop that!" Bobbi retorted. "The water dried up or something, the desert is just a big beach where the water evaporated and that's why there's so much treasure there because nobody could sail back anymore to reclaim it." Bobbi paused again for breath. "Until me!" She looked satisfied with herself. "I have a Desert Obelisk, way better than some creaky boat."

"Anyway I'm gonna go there today because it's my lucky day and take some Magic Rock Candy and my favorite Bombs and other stuff and, well I have some rules to make it maybe more fun:

1. Keep everything from Chests in Treasure Rooms, even if it's just seeds. It's treasure dagnabbit!
("Spoken like a true buccaneer.")
2. Keep all colorful shiny gems. Because they are always Emily's and she deserves every one. ("Aww thanks, honey.")
3. Keep all clothing items, no matter if I have 5 already ("Important priorities to a seamstress.")
4. Toss everything else in the Golden Trashcan for g ("Bobbi, how does that work?" "Shush, don't complicate things Emily! It's magic or something." "Oh, well why didn't you say so, dear.")

Bobbi got there at about 7am and passed out at 2am a split second after opening all 3 chests in her first ever triple Golden Chest room on Level 300. The gettings:

Y6Su09 Skull Cavern.JPG

Bottom 2 rows are from Treasure Chests (except Diamonds and Flute/Scepter), plus the Mega Bombs. But that's not the total number of Treasure Rooms as there are multiples which came from separate Chests:

4 Autopetters (!!!)
2 Slime Eggs
2 Omni Geode batches
2 Animal Crackers
2 Quality Sprinkler batches
2 Rain Totem batches
2 Mega Bomb Batches

So the total number of Treasure Rooms are: 28
And the total number of Treasure Chests are: 31

Emily was waiting for Bobbi in the kitchen the next day.
"I see those scratches on your skin again. If you didn't have that magic fairy healing you, I'd forbid you to even approach that place." She gave Bobbi a great big bear hug. "I worry about you." Emily heaved a big sigh and released Bobbi, who usually had problems meeting Emily's gaze in these situations.
Emily_Grin.png
"So, was it worth it? Or will you be pillaging the Ginger Beaches again, well out of Lewis' sight?"

Bobbi considered and thought aloud, ticking things off on her fingers:

The Beach is zero stress and not time limiting. +2 Beach
The Beach is expensive and requires active planning of limited resources, especially Moss. +1 Skull Cavern
The Beach gets Golden Coconuts and Shirts and Books and loads of Mystery Boxes. +2 Beach
Skull Cavern gets you Hats and Boots. +1 Skull Cavern
Skull Cavern gets many colorful shiny Gems. +1 Skull Cavern
Skull Cavern gets AutoPetters, but you only need a few of those. +1 Skull Cavern
Skull Cavern gets Fruit Tree Saplings. +1 Skull Cavern
The Beach allows you to go home at any time to drop things off. +2 Beach

"Soooooooo." Bobbi paused for a while, thinking. Emily knew not to disturb the delicate balance of Bobbi's tenuous thought processes. "It looks like the Beach is simply lower pressure but lower variety and maybe value." A long pause. "Which is more my way of doing things. And if I run out of resources, Skull Cavern will always be there." Another Bobbi pause. "Plus the Beach has Golden Cocos!"

"An important thing to hoard, my little rodent!" Emily wrapped her arm around Bobbi's waist.

"And..." Bobbi bumped Emily with her hip, "I can wear my swimsuit to the Beach."

aside from fixing my farm, i've been obsessively going into the skull caverns and causing mayhem  i got to level 57 today!! i used the dwarf king mining statue and got an ability to find mine shafts/ladders, easier, and i cannot express how much faster i went through the mines; the only problem was that Pam took forever to get to the bus stop so i ended up losing a lot of my time to be in the mines :frown:

BUT i made a bunch of desert totems so i can get there as soon as the day starts to get to work :3 just gotta wait for that shaft ability again :hmm:

also working get a random blessing statue! i have the stone and moss but i gotta get the fiber and the sap now :hmph:

I've found that tapping a mahogany tree yields a decent supply of sap over a moderate period of time (~10 sap per harvest, and I think it harvests slightly more often than syrups)

i'm growing starfruit and i accepted the gold quality crops quest but i have no idea how i'm going to pull that off when kent is still asking me for that starfruit :ca::stardrop::stardrop:even got two stardrops
