Is this the most profitable farming method for clay?

I need clay to build a silo I think - digging in the mine the best way?
Yes, there is a slightly higher chance to get clay from the mine over elsewhere. It is not a big improvement, so if the mines are not your thing, you can just dig up any area you like. You don't need much for a silo. I usually get two clay just from digging in Robin's front yard. (I always forget and think I need eight, and I don't figure it out until I get there and I am short. But I always get enough just digging right there, so I never remember for the next time ...)

These things work really well if youve got an upgraded hoe. Can hit spots in the mine while you're running around, and it doesn't take that much energy to just scoop up a small patch of sand. I don't do it often, and there's also the chance of rarer drops from digging in the mines as well I believe, I forget what they are though

It seems i was called over here, and yeah, unless you're using a predictor to map clay spots, or using legacy RNG then treasure totems are probably your best bet but they aren't exactly cheap.

So if you don't have the materials to make more and really need clay then your second best option is farming the mines by resetting floor 15, I made a guide on it a while ago but it gets something like 150 a day, definitely not the best but beats getting 20-30 from randomly tilling around the map

Thanks a lot there, buddy! But hey, since i am right post the endgame already, materials for totem is less daunting to gather. Since i need clay in bulk fast, i think i am going to stick with totems, then. Those ~1200 garden pots + ~1200 Deluxe Retaining Soils, are no joke but soon, my farm is going to be finally complete, finalized!

If you're in end game, why not hit up the dig site for clay nodes?

See that’s what I need it for. Deluxe retaining soil. I loooove the beach farm but you do need that DRS. So that’s the big one. And some other things. When I could play on computer I had a mod that you could place sprinklers on the beach farm but not on mobile. 🫤🤷‍♀️
