I want to hear your most controversial Opinion about Stardew!

The mine becomes useless after you get the quarry, which becomes useless after you get skull cavern.
Hold on... are you only using the mine for the mined resources? That's not the best of the resources that comes from the mine. Monster loot is what you should really be there for.

Sure, the Skull Cavern sorta makes the Mine less useful... but the Mine having the elevator makes it so you can get to exactly where the resources you want will be, still, so it's not completely useless.

Fair... But skull cavern has so many more monsters

Big giant +1 on that right there, it bugs the heck out of me. I wish there was a platonic flag that triggers different bachelor/ette dialog, even just back to 5 heart level?, when you get married or Krobie moves in.
+2. I hate even when you are married they still flirt with you. Like get over it I’m taken. I like you as a friend but I chose not to marry you for a reason.

BTW: Did you know in 1.6 if you taken Krobus in as a roommate and later kick him out Lewis and a few others treat it as a divorce and divorce dialogue follows for a week amount some townsfolk. Can you imagine having little shadow kids 😂🥰

Because then he wouldn't have an excuse to freeload in Robyn and Demetrius's back yard
BOOOOO!!!! He is not freeloading, his living with and amongst nature and living off the land. He’s a Naturalist. He’s not a mooch off of anyone. Robin has a heart scene where she thinks what he is doing is actually sweet and that she was wrong to initially be suspicious of him.

Even if was a homeless beggar you should be ashamed of yourself. Society can be cruel to those different from themselves or those in need. There aren’t many things that tick me off but you crossed the line I’m sorry.

Beach Farm Is The Best Farm
Definitely agree. My favorite bar none followed by Forest if I’m actually doing crops and all that lush green is gorgeous.

I fish, raise animals and make fish ponds. I use Rancher as a profession. I love it. Once you unlock Sashimi recipie you virtually never have to leave the farm if you don’t want to. Peaceful an Meditative. Only thing I wish is that it had fish bubbles like Riverland and the wave noises like Pelican Beach. I would also remove the built up cliff walls and make it flat.

Sorry to burden you with reality. Linus is doing the whole 'sovereign citizen' nonsense. He's not a 'naturalist', he's a freeloader. As someone who personally was homeless for a few years, I understand just how cruel society can be to those who are homeless. However, the difference is that I picked myself back up, got myself a job, and got back into it. Linus, on the other hand, has no such desire to do so, and actively refuses any opportunity to do so. He wants all the benefits of society, but none of the responsibilities. Therefore, I have absolutely zero respect for him. Robyn is a bleeding heart, she will adopt anything given half the chance. Her feeling pity for the old man doesn't mean he's right.

If he was a naturalist, he wouldn't need to be dumpster diving behind the tavern. That's dangerous. That attracts raccoons and bears, both of which are canonically present in the area. And once a bear figures out it can get food in a populated area, it has to be put down for everyone's safety. As the saying goes, 'a fed animal is a dead animal'. He is putting everyone in town at risk from his actions.

You can be ticked off at me as much as you like, your opinions and your feelings are yours. We have different perspectives from different worldviews. But hey, if it helps you feel better, you can dislike me all you want. I certainly don't mind. And honestly? I truly hope you never encounter such a situation and discover the reality of the situation for yourself. No one should have to go through that.

As someone who was homeless as well, there are different types of homeless people. There's the Shane's of the world, and there's the Linuses. If I could live the Linus life I would, but this country has absolutely zero tolerance for you if you don't fit into a nice neat mold.

And as for Linus getting "all.the benefits", I have no idea what kinda benefits you're talking about other than gus and robin being nice people and helping him out every now and then.

You bring up bears and raccoons, and honestly I'm glad you don't have the opportunity to fight them, and that the TALKING bear and TALKING raccoons are actually quite benevolent. It's a game. Linus has his reasons for doing what he does and has been in the valley for much longer than many of the residents of pelican town, as seen in his relationship with the wizard. For those same residents, whoever they are, to go out of their way to throw rocks at Linus tent and supposedly have destroyed it at some point in the past is kinda disgusting.

But hey, I'm glad you could fit back into society. I know I never truly will

And better ones with better drops. The big slimes (after you kill the little ones, of course) almost always gives you iridium ore. :iridium::iridium::iridium:
And I guess that I do have a controversial opinion then, because I mostly find Skull Cavern frustrating and not worth the effort, especially once you get the iridium generating statue. I freely admit I'm a terrible fighter, though.

Oh I am very much a terrible fighter but Skull Cavern can still be fun for the general looting of Treasure Rooms and random drops. How I make Skull Cavern fun, a short guide for terrible fighters:

High Luck day
Lucky Lunch or
Magic Rock Candy for more Luck and evasive Speed
Staircases for "they who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day also run away on the next Skull Cavern Level." Famous SDV quote, probably
Bombs for BOOM, also grabbing lotsa shiny things
Galaxy Sword or better to swing about wildly for those who forget the crossed out bits above. Bonus: the wind your uncontrolled flailing creates may occasionally blow a monster farther away
:goldstar:
Gold Star Cheez for healing (or your fave food)
Iridium Pickaxe for the few things you'll need to pick

You can always use earlier game or lower quality options like a lower Luck day, Spicy Eel and Coffee, Cherry Bombs, Lava Katana (maybe Dark Sword or Obsidian Edge), Blue- Cran Blackberries or Salad, or Gold Pickaxe, but only as long as you have enough extra Stairs to spam down to save your tasty kneecaps.

My 2 best suggestions are:
• Always have Stairs ready and just slap 'em down and escape if you're even vaguely questioning how infested a floor is
• Always have Food ready to eat, eat at no less than 3/4 health if you're using Salad or Berries, or 1/2 health with anything better like Cheez.

Food is cheap. Your life is not.
