Switch Lesser reported bugs I've encountered on Switch (1.6.9)

I spend way too much time on SDV on Switch, and noticed some potential bugs that I haven't seen mentioned a lot yet. I'll categorize them in three ways- minute stuff I've noticed, things that I'm not entirely sure are bugs or not, and common stuff that others have reported, just for the sake of consistency.
  1. Minute/Less noticeable bugs:
    1. Lionfish are catchable in the freshwater pond in Ginger Island West (where you'd normally catch Blue Discus)- in the past, they were ocean only. In fact, since the update I've *never* been able to catch a Blue Discus in that pond
    2. When completing Demetrius's big bulletin board quest for catching river fish, I've noticed that a) certain seasonal fish like rainbow trout aren't being included on the tally and b) I could catch a dual river/lake fish like a chub at the lake, and it will count towards the *river* fish catching goal
    3. When playing on the slot machines in the casino, my total Qi coin tally is not showing up in the slot screen. If I exit the slots and go back to the casino screen, it is visible as normal in the top corner
    4. The Queen of Sauce book is not appearing in the bookstore. I have checked in both my 9 year perfection save (where I had already gathered all the walnuts prior to the update) and in a brand new save (currently in year 4) where I gathered the nuts after 1.6.9 was live, and nothing
  2. Not sure if bug or not, including anyway:
    1. I can still only have 3 cabins players on my farm at once. Unless I'm misunderstanding the wiki, it looks like the option has been expanded to 7 cabins at once.
    2. After completing the New Neighbours achievement and seeing the Raccoon Song cutscene, the raccoon song is not available on the jukebox to listen to again
    3. The wardrobe is not organizing clothes properly as it did in the past. Before, if you put 3 (for example) living hats in the wardrobe, they would all group together. Now, everything stays in the order you put it in, so it is more difficult to keep track of any clothing doubles you have
    4. When killing slimes in the secret woods with the napalm ring equipped in the winter, I noticed that this was destroying nearby artifact/seed spots as well
  3. Common stuff that has probably been reported a bunch, including anyway for posterity:
    1. The raccoon shop isn't expanding
    2. The workbench isn't showing the proper inventory/number of something you can make based on the adjacent chests
Also a final thing, could just be my awful luck- my Qi fruit and powdermelons REFUSE to become giant. In my perfection save I had some qi fruits saved from the old Pierre buyback trick and have had them planted for TWO YEARS (planted after 1.6.9 went live) without them gianting (and yes, they're watered). In my new save where the beans are freshly acquired, I still haven't been able to get a giant one despite a LOT of effort. Probably just bad luck, but hey, you never know!

Thank you so much for reporting these problems! They really need to get it together and work on some fixes. We already waited for the better part of an entire year, and here we are waiting yet again after a month more without any idea of when a patch will come along. I get it, this game is difficult to work on / develop for. But these issues need to be fixed and, preferably, soon

Regarding the number of cabins, multiplayer up to eight was only implemented on PC; consoles like the Switch are still restricted to four total players. Someone should probably edit the wiki to be more clear.

Ginger Island west seems to have been mistakenly coded as all saltwater, so that's where the lionfish vs. discus bug is coming from.

I'm sure an update/bug fix is forthcoming. We just have to be patient. Since they probably want to only release one patch, they've got to wait until as many bugs as possible have been reported and fixed before releasing anything at all. It's not like PC where you can release a patch every day if you feel like doing the work. There is oversight and bureaucracy involved.

To add, I am currently playing on the Switch and encountered a disappointing play. I have around 15 fish ponds with some up against my farm's east fence toward Pelican Town . I had just completed the Qi Fish Quest and had put the legend fish in ponds when I decided to reorganize them. Instead of fishing out Glacierfish Jr I chose the option to empty the pond. To my surprise, the fish bounced east into the unplayable area and was forever lost; it can only be caught while the Qi fish quest is active. It would be better for fish not to bounce beyond fences into unplayable areas when choosing the empty fish pond option.

Update: The quest was presented again and I was able to catch all five Legendary Fish II again. The Stardew Valley Wiki regarding Legendary Fish II indicates "...it is possible to catch these fish more than once...".

the things you mentioned in point 1.1 and 1.3 and 3.1 and 3.2 I have the same issues.
I too have those issues, on PlayStation with the latest patch. The shop only "expands" with eg the book I was just rewarded with, which felt really weird.

Sometimes the sound bugs out too. Can't hear sound effects for footsteps, picking up plants, or putting stuff in kegs. It's fine for now, after restarting the PS.
