Legend pond?

I have a question if anyone is able to answer. I've recently started playing Stardew Valley again now that the 1.6 update has come to Xbox. I decided that when it finally hit, i was going to fill the tank in the community center with the Legendary Fish for the whole tiwn to enjoy.

The update got me thinking though. Now that i am able to put them in a pond, will they Reproduce?

If i caught an Iridium Star Legend, would all of her/his offspring be Iridium Star quality?

What? Then why Bother adding the option to put them in the pond? And why does the wiki say they will produce Roe?
Fish ponds don't actually need more than a single fish in them to produce roe, or even to breed for that matter (but that's a little bit of stardew magic more than anything).

It's accurate to real life too, fish eggs are produced then fertilized outside of the body for many fish, for some of the fish you just have to accept it as SDV game logic and maybe some fish magic or something.

So the reason legendary fish fish ponds were added was to produce roe, and since they have high sell values, they all make very good profit from doing so, especially the legend and legend II ponds. They also have unique colours which is a way to add some additional aesthetic value to the ponds and spice up your farm.
